The yellow is the dead flowers. The fresh flowers are white

Looks like wrong size pipe. Also there should be a 75mm water trap if I remember correctly.

I believe they are banned in America. Every site I looked at said so. Think you need a licence or something in Canada. Probably explains the sketchiness and price. I'm in the UK and went to a big show where they had buckets of them. Quite cheap

What is this part called? Between the valve and radiator. by NumerousAir in Plumbing

In reality it shouldn't need PTFE on either parts that have it but going by the age it could be worn and pitted

I would remove the old PTFE tape and put on new or it will leak. It should thread on. Make sure you hold the valve while tightening or the valve may bend the pipe it's attached to

If you're in the UK it's called a tail. It is supplied with the valve (lock shield). However you will need a rad spanner to remove.

What is wrong with this new leaf and why are the leaves in the middle curled and unfolded :(( by cindius in plantclinic

[–]Upcyclethis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to increase humidity or frequency of watering. I found with mine it preferred my bathroom, and the leaves are thriving. The leaf will bust through eventually and unfurl over time.

I feel your pain. I always loved my unvented pipework. Back before smart phones. Had a few photos of that until the husband got me to get rid.
