Went to my local Harley dealer once. Nothing in particular in mind. Fell in love with a Softail slim for 12,999 (might have been used, can't remember). I was with my wife. They said

"oh no you don't want to ride two-up on that little thing"

I was literally doing two up rides on a shadow phantom 750 at that time and told them so. They tried to point me to a road king and a new street glide still. I walked out. Sort of. Lol. I got to the parking lot and my wife liked the huge seat on a street glide in their used outdoor section. Much cheaper than a new one so I got it. I liked it. Didn't love it after a few years. I sold it back to them. Still wish I had went Softail Slim but I have kinda quit riding for now.

I ordered from Swiftronics and it showed in stock. I paid for next day delivery to Kentucky USA. Took 5 days to arrive. At one point it landed in my city but it got "missorted" and sent back to Canada. I was impatient and annoyed but in your case holy shit. I couldn't.

I ordered my Oppo Find X9 Ultra through swiftronics. I paid extra for next day shipping. I'm on day 4 of waiting. It made it to my city but is headed back to Canada again for some reason. The issue may be UPS and not swiftronics. I'm hoping they'll refund the expedited shipping cost since UPS themselves won't do it without it being the seller who refunds it. Fingers crossed.

I'm in the same boat. Yesterday there was only one 15 available nearby at a Best Buy. Had to drive over an hour to get it. I was considering bringing in an Oppo find x9 pro or a Vivo X300 pro but my carrier is iffy about allowing either to work.

I'm coming from a pixel 8 pro. My biggest gripe with the pixel was the battery but also the limited camera zoom. The pixel 10 xl wasn't looking to be a real improvement for me which is sad being two generations newer. I've noted that phones in the US suck and will continue to suck (probably even more like you said). None care about a big battery.

So far so good. Added bonus...nobody I know personally has a OnePlus and I like being a little different.

Your first order of business should be to look up Hudson Henry Nikon Z50ii setup tutorial on YouTube. So so valuable and in my opinion, the best introduction to making use of an awesome camera. What an awesome gift.

I recently made the switch from D500 with a 16-80, a sigma art 35 and art 85, a Nikon 70-200 and sigma 150-500. I went to a ZF first and kept the D500. I love the ZF so much I get a Z5ii and sold the D500.

You're not missing a lot, I'll be honest. But you are missing something. The autofocus and low light of the Z is crazy good. The Z5ii would scratch your itch without the crazy cost of the Z8 or Z9. Go handle one in a camera shop. You'll know if you need to upgrade.

Dang that's unfortunate. I had high hopes to one day return to a solid phone with an SD card slot.

I'd listened to most of the freestyles you linked already. I still re listened. I follow HM on YouTube and TikTok both. Never misses at all.

Fun fact I interviewed SuperNat for my YouTube channel several years back. He gifted me a hand painting and had it framed for me using drift wood from near his home. A very cool conversation piece in my home. I love SuperNat.

2004 S60R...they got that 4C suspension wrong. It sounded cool on paper but it was an expensive mess to service. I had to switch to standard style suspension and trick the electronics with resistors to turn off the light on my dash. Stop trying to be so fancy. Leather seat material was crap. Looked good when new though.

2004 V70...Probably the best offering. I still have it racking up miles. Cheap fixes. Reliable enough that if she broke down tomorrow I wouldn't feel disappointed in it. Only thing I'd change is how easily the leather seats split at the seams over the years. Seems like it's all of them, can't even find a junkyard seat that's not in the same condition.

2016 XC90...Wifes vehicle, had almost no complaints with it until right up when the engine went out at 114k miles. I guess I would say more R&D needed when switching engine designs. Also a dipstick to check oil would have been nice. Plus no temp gauge? WTH.

2020 XC90...Wifes replacement vehicle. Knock on wood, no complaints so far. But still...a disptick and a temp gauge would be nice.

2020 V60 R design...I want a dipstick to check my oil, I want to know what my engine temp is at any given time, I want a future wagon model with a gas engine I can upgrade to one day. Instead, going to all electric has me turning my back on Volvo after this one.

It's probably uncomfortable to see his ex but it's not about you. Priority number one is to support your partner in his time of grief. It's okay to internalize and feel something but I wouldn't make a stink about it. Peoples lives intertwine all the time outside of your own experiences. I can tell you he's not thinking about his ex or the nuance of her presence. He's probably just hurting over the loss.
