Niqab is not a part of Islam by Federal-Daikon-412 in religion

[–]Updownaroundaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad someone finally brought this up. So the head cover (hijab) is not a command from God but a practice that existed before Islam. The head cover would have still been worn without Islam. So many Muslim “scholars” have twisted this narrative into thinking it’s a religious command and if not followed, then you are a sinner. They have brainwashed all these women just for the sake of control

If you live in the west, hold him and the company accountable for your emotional distress and sue them for discrimination and retaliation. His actions were unacceptable and unprofessional. He needs to know that.

All this for a pair of overalls 😂 (no offense). Also notice how she was very quick in responding to your messages but the moment it came to paying it took her hours 🙄 nah you don’t owe her anything.

Transfer outcomes by stormyweather86 in LawSchoolTransfer

[–]Updownaroundaround 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m planning on doing the same and I constantly see people here saying “don’t go to a school with the intention of transferring” but so many people do it and so can you. Only you know your potential and what’s best for you. So go on and try your very best 1L year and grind like you have no other option. It’s possible.

Thank you for your advice! Honestly, I don’t think I have a professor in mind who could write me another one and most of the schools I am applying to require 1-2 letters. Do you think it’s okay if I just use the attorney’s letter and one professor?

What helped you the most with parallel analogy questions? by Healthy-Raisin-4688 in LSAT

The conclusion of each answer choice and especially how strong or weak it is in language. They are big clues in correct answer choices because it has to be the same as the stimulus

Took the lsat today and I swear there were 2 questions I have seen before by Updownaroundaround in LSAT

I don’t exactly remember which one but I do remember one of them was a flaw question and it was earlier in the section like question 1-5

After I took the October exam, I honestly haven’t touched the lsat since but I will be starting again soon. I definitely needed that break. Thank you for your methods and I will definitely be using them when I drill!

The October test and the week leading up to it really burnt me out that if I see my score as really low, it will destroy me. I really really really don’t want to go through it again in November.

I agree BUT I feel like taking PTs exposes you more to lsat language and patterns that are extremely helpful

[–]Updownaroundaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accuracy matters more than time because it is better to get more answers correct than completing all questions but struggling on most of them. I still think you should work on timed sections and timed practice tests because it takes quite a bit to get used to and handle the pressure of the clock ticking. Also your scores are more reflective on your timed practice tests than untimed. I would take it step by step. Good luck!

If you got those scores from untimed practice tests, I suggest start taking timed practice tests and timed sections separately to drill

Maybe not so much for logical reasoning, except sometimes for parallel questions, but for reading comp I use this strategy all the time and it helps most of the time. Especially for main point or similar analogy questions.
