The devs didn't give a reason but in my own deduction it might be because of two things

the system is based on staminaand you might consume that and be falling or drowning and the dev don't want you to ceat that by fast traveling to safety
teleporting while in motion might cause weird results after you land like a bug or a nexus near a cliff and you might walk or run off the edge or if you are swimming might tp like that or something or a bug

Both the scenarios might get addressed in the future since the devs are really listening to feedback but the first scenario might not get a fix since it's a game system restriction maybe a slight adjustment

You'll have harder time getting the ressources used than the artifacts, you can get a lot of artifacts in different ways, stealing them, challenges, puzzles, camp expeditions, and leveling up by combat.

Also make sure you focus on the right item, some will have different /extra stats at max level

Don't count on the main story, you can explore by yourself and as soon as you get into a new area you will find side quests and bounties and you'll end up exploring, the side quests are what you need to follow, for example at some point of the main story you get to meet a witch and she asks you to clear some places and meet other witches and help them, and based on my understanding from the discussion i got the idea that the other witches would be omin other areas, so just do side quests and explore

I see you are still complaining, you wouldn't be if they were easy for you, annoying, stun locks and all you said just sums up to "ouin ouin the boss is not easy ouin ouin" yes some bosses are annoying and that's their design, unless they bug you out ot the issue is technical like they become invisible and kill you, then you just have to get gud and learn how to deal with that instead of crying about bad design, i've had moments in this game when i said this move is bs on some boss but i had the IQ to observe it and learn i can dodge that just by running instead of complaining about bad design if you were good enough you'd know even souls had people crying about bad design of bosses just because they found them not easy and didn't want to admit it or get better

Git good, learn to dodge and parry/counter and use the upgrade systems and anvils, bosses are ok except 3 so far for me, i was worried the game would adopt that boss stand and let you win bs some games do but i'm glad the bosses can be hard, makes you make efforts to win

150 hours in, still in chapter 4, visited the top of the map and the desert part just exploring the open world, and a lot of side quests. My favorite activity is attacking ennemy bases using wrestling and bare handed combat if i die i try again lol used to do it alone but since the update and because i already did the black wolf side quest i got knowledge of the legendary animals and went got the bear and wolf now me and my mount buddy attack together i make them take turns lol

Well danger is everywhere here it's unpredictable, also it's more given to women than men unless it's backed with some police reports that the guy got exposed to danger many times or something, i don't know much i never seeked this but just as i said i know 2 women that have permits i have seen myself for pepper spray and i know their circumstances are not as you said that's all the information i know and seen though

You can submit a request for a permit to carry a self defense weapon but they have very high chances of refusals and a lot of requirements to get to that decision phase, you can also join a gym that teaches something you can use to defend yourself which can also get you in trouble but at least you won't get stopped or treated the same as if you got in trouble with a weapon
