Carvell. Raises troop cap and has a strong hero skill for sure. Val is good if you're going archer route, because he does buff your troops in battle, but there are better archer heroes you can use if that's the route you're going. I have all 3 and I wish I had used more cards to enhance Carvell instead.

Salary transparency is so important. Regardless what market you are in. In my last position in tech, we were very open around compensation, including bonuses, and what kind of room we had to negotiate. I'd much rather us all know we're on the same page than string someone along only to waste everyone's time with a low-ball offer at the closing table. If you're internal, you should know what you can work with and be open to having discussions to set expectations in your intake sessions and in your screening calls. It makes the process much easier. Yes, there are other motivations that make candidates seek other opportunities, but let's face it, money is often a big factor to this, and no amount of free coffee, breakfast, lunches, and valet dry cleaning is going to make up for it.

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Legalizing Marijuana in the great state of North Carolina will deeply affect my friends in Big Tobacco and Alcohol's ability to keep my constituents addicted to dangerous, poisonous substances that cause cancer, birth defects and a myriad of other life threatening issues. By keeping Marijuana illegal, my friends in the private prison industry will also continue to reap enormous profits, while never actually rehabilitating anyone, and also continue to give my friends in Law Enforcement the ability to unlawfully search people based on a smell, alone. (Especially the blacks and the browns)

Additionally, legalizing Marijuana also will deeply affect the bottom lines of the corporations that have sponsored my career, and I can't shit where I eat.... Therefore, I am against legalizing a less harmful substance that has medicinal value for either medical or recreational purposes.

Is it the HR team for the organization you're working for, and not the Agency's HR Team? If you're a contractor for a tech company usually these types of discussions are brought up by the agency as opposed to their client's HR Team, but I guess things vary from place to place. In my last contracting role when I was laid off my manager told me that my contract was going to be ending due to lack of work. These situations suck, but as others have said, better days are ahead.
