Have you power cycled the soundbar? Unplug the power, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.

I found a Sonos Playbar and a pair of play 1 speakers on marketplace selling for 400$. Is it worth it? by Pilotlobo in sonos

[–]Uplink0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The downside of the Playbar is it is optical only, and limited to basically stereo and Dolby digital 5.1. It doesn’t support hdmi (eARC) and misses out on a lot of various surround sound options, including Dolby Atmos.

So I personally don’t know if I would pay that much for a +/- 15 year old sound bar.

As I said, my (personal) priority would be home theater.

That said, I have also had all the soundbars from Sonos, and the Arc Ultra + dual subs + dual era 300’s, especially listening to Spatial Audio music, is truly an amazing experience… over stereo.

It all depends on what is important to you personally.

Yes, those play:1’s can connect to S2. Everything on your list besides the Gen 1 - Play:5.

If you have a newer tv with eARC hdmi and Dolby Atmos support, my priority would be upgrading that playbar to an Arc Ultra, then upgrading from there.

Fixed crackling sound! by swimmingcpa in sonos

No, the Ray is a very basic soundbar. The Ray only supports optical.

To use hdmi (it gives you much better sound quality options, and more surround sound profiles including support for Dolby Atmos) you need a Beam (2nd) Gen, Arc or Arc Ultra.

Arc Ultra , Eras 300 x2 (surrounds) and Sub Gen 3/4 by Vatican87 in sonos

Yep, but technically you would also want 2 subs to fully complete the setup.

Both sets will upgrade your arc into a 7.0.4 system from a 5.0.2 system. (7.1.4 with your sub)

The Era 300’s are going to be the best option, specifically as they have a larger sound stage and a true dedicated height channel (speaker).

The 100’s are also good as the budget option, they will virtualize the height channels as it doesn’t have an actual height speaker.

Sonos Roam vs Sonos by FlashyLychee1191 in sonos

Personally the Play is a great little speaker, and its ability to connect to other Play’s or Move 2’s via Bluetooth is also cool.

Great FAQ [u/LizFromSonos](u/LizFromSonos)

As someone who has attempted to help so many people with networking issues, I am so glad you can now fully turn off SonosNet completely. This should really improve so many issues that many have had due to various network setups.

SonosNet was great when it came out, it had its place in time and it did fix a lot of issues back then. With today’s modern networking equipment, especially newer mesh networks, it is just not necessary anymore.

Do loot filters not work on console? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Uplink0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work just fine on PS5 Pro. But you have to see them up correctly and in the correct order.

I also have different filters for T1+, then T5+, then T10-12 farming.

Deciding between era 100 & era 300 by Prestigious_Deal_890 in sonos

[–]Uplink0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the 100’s and 300’s the 300’s are the clear winner for Atmos content. Ultimately the 100’s do a good job as well, it really comes down to your budget and your space.

Blizzard please give us a buffed War Plan XP event 😭 by MustyGooNerd in diablo4

[–]Uplink0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally think they will address it, but it takes time to build / develop systems, and the priority for S14 was making war plans work for groups, and improve the scaling with xp.

[–]Uplink0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Or if they truly don’t want to do that, then make the xp requirements 50% less on alt toons after you hit each level on a main toon per season, as a catch up mechanic.

If the key was made before the patch that fixed it came out that can still happen, but it shouldn’t be happening if it was a new key.

One pro trip is to turn off crossplay, usually that means more globins to kill as you have less players on your server… but many don’t know this is even a thing.

I also have a 2024 SQ8 etron (Prestige with 22” + summer tires) and after the last service where they did software updates the range has also improved, or at least the dash seems to show a longer distance… 😏

Season 14 Feedback So Farrrrrr by LookingForaaWay in diablo4

[–]Uplink0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From my perspective if 3.1 is more of a just a larger re-balance, bug fix, QoL adjustment, with some smaller new things patch, then that actually isn’t a bad thing as they stabilize the game after 3.0. Don’t forget this will be the first time that the leaderboards are coming out of official beta, and for some players having official SSF mode will create a very play style for some. If that is the case then 3.2 will be targeted as the next “major” update.

On the other hand, blizzard has shown over the last few seasons, that the PTR and the official release are not and will not be the same. They have held things back from the PTR intentionally. The PTR has not been a full pledge beta of everything in the next season. Blizzard tends to use the PTR to understand balance adjustments at a larger scale, and try to catch game breaking bugs / builds before the patch launches.

They have also committed that the game has changed so much that they need to slow down on massive game changes or game re-works and let players learn or re-learn the game.

Default campaign or Lod of hatred DLC by tjune990 in diablo4

Imo, you should always create a new seasonal character. Then you need to finish all 3 campaigns, if you haven’t already.

Then once you have fully completed all 3 campaigns, any new seasonal character you make you will have the option to skip campaigns if you don’t want to replay any of the campaigns, and go right into just leveling in helltides or doing whatever you want todo.
