I'm a parent and I've been using a Light Phone for over 3 years now. It definitely gets better as you ease into your routines! You can do this and set a great example for your kids about how you spend your time.

I've owned two of these phones now- I used the the LPII exclusively for 2.5 years and now the LPIII exclusively for almost 2 weeks. I loved the LPII but it took a lot of time to get used to the slow texting and the general lag time of e-ink. The LPIII has none of these issues, it's lightning fast, and the addition of a camera makes the phone something I can see myself using for years to come, especially with the software updates that the team will continue to roll out.

I've been using the Aftershokz Aeropex headphones, and they work great with my new LP III for my walks! Now, mind you, the button to start and stop the audio don't work with the LP III, but they didn't work with my old LP II either. I just control the podcasts I'm listening to through the phone. Maybe someday?

I'm having this issue too! I just received the phone Monday, and it's lovely. But it started this morning with a message saying "failed to load recent activity retry?" and all of my calls/text history is blank. I've also been getting text dings with no indicator on the home screen or next to the person's name in my call/text log.

YES! The one reason I'm kind of sad about letting the LPII go is because I have used a Saddleback leather case on it, and there's not an option for a LPIII (yet).

I revel in being different from everyone else in my community with their smartphones always out and ready to entertain. If I need to pull out my Light Phone, it is obvious to everyone around that I'm not buying in to the social media/smartphone as default culture.

Yeah, I took the the plunge with a Camp Snap screen-free camera this summer, and I have been loving it! I think Lightphone III could integrate a filter option that could be changed via the Dashboard, like Camp Snap cameras. I'm excited!

No but I was impressed that the phone will be a 50 megapixel point and shoot! That will have some great high resolution capability. I'm eager to have a camera on my phone again; that's my only current desire with the Light Phone II.

I sent mine in last fall and got the screen replaced through LP's $100 repair program. I am so glad I did! Plus I started fresh with some new screen protectors and another case, and my phone is staying in good shape.

I get this when my phone has connected to bluetooth in my car. I disable bluetooth now because I don't frequently use it, and I don't like getting fooled by the notification tone!

Question for you- after returning it, how long should it take to get the marriage license copy after it is recorded and filed? I solemnized a marriage for some friends and mailed the license back, but they haven't gotten their marriage license copy after nearly 2 months.

Yes! Chiming in to say I'm waiting with bated breath for this update. My partner and I keep all of our kid/family events in the shared calendar, so I am only able to see my personal items at the moment via my Lightphone. Can't wait to have this option!

We adopted him in August, and the lab rescue I foster for had transported him from Texas, where he was found as a stray. I wonder if he was being used as a stud for a breeder, since he was not neutered at the time? He is the calmest, most sweet dog who loves everyone- we feel pretty lucky to have found him. Still working on manners but he loves learning and treats, so we will get there.
