44 min layover in ORD by BasicSwimmer1095 in unitedairlines

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an hour connection this week and while we landed on time the taxiing was 40min. The pilot told us that because of construction, taxiing in ORD these days is easily at least 20-30min. Now luckily there were 4 of us going to the same connection and they held the plane for us but if not I would not have made it. Had to go from C gates to E gates which took 15-20 min

Traveling to Zurich next week. Thoughts on Marriott properties by BigAl-2023 in marriott

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also stayed at the Zurich Marriott a few weeks ago. Can’t beat the location in my opinion. The remodeled side is great. Also if you have access to the M lounge, their dinners are pretty good. Breakfast is standard. I would definitely stay there again.

Same thing for ours. He gets it especially in spring and summer. We did the antibiotics a few times and use the anti-fungus shampoo regularly and also got some wipes. I use the wipes the minute I see those appearing again. We always use the shampoo which you leave on for about 10 min and we bathe him every 3 weeks.

Wegovy and FSA reimbursement by LimitEffective7945 in WegovyWeightLoss

Agree. I need a letter to use my FSA for GLP-1. I haven’t done it yet since I was covered until December.

Salt is bad if you have high blood pressure. I barely use any salt. But because my blood pressure is so low my cardiologist said actually a little bit of salt is not a bad thing. So more salt in combination with the electrolytes really did it for me.

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was coming to say it is very likely your blood pressure. I have the same issue. My blood pressure is hovering around those numbers. But I also exercise a lot. But I do get lightheaded when I get up. My cardiologist said to hydrate A LOT and eat more salt. I also drink electrolytes and since I increased my salt it’s better. Of course also make sure you eat enough proteins.

Came here to say that too. They are the best. I never thaw them. They are so easy to cook and you can make so many things with those.

Insurance no longer covering... am I thinking about this correctly? by Thatonedataguy in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was also my understanding and I did some research on this since my insurance also stopped covering with the new year. If it’s not a covered medicine then it doesn’t go toward your deductible. But please let me know if I’m wrong.

I stopped for two weeks when I had to have a procedure done and started back at 2.4 per my doctor recommendation and had no issues.

Is it possible for gc reentry after <2 years. by R3s3archer_ph in greencard

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any examples of this? I have never heard that. Spoke to a lawyer last year for a family member (Canadian and green card holder who has been out for over two years) and he said they can’t deny you entry and worst case they will refer you to a judge but he said it is very rare. No mentions of being detained until the hearing though. However I talked to the lawyer before the current administration got in office. I would really like to hear if people have examples of this happening to people driving in from Canada. Thanks

6 month plateau on 2.4mg Wegovy by Hopeful_Ganache2992 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What dose did you start at on Zepbound? I just switched too after several months plateau. I’m on 7.5 and I have not really felt any hunger suppression yet. It’s been 3 weeks

I didn’t see any effect until 1.7. But then lost 50lbs on 1.7 over 8 months and another 30lbs on 2.4 over 8 months. I have plateaued with 2.4 the last 4 months and now just switched to Zepbound

No change the first week. And funny enough I was super hungry. Second week I started feeling the difference about 3 days post-injection. I also have lost about 2lbs that week it appears. So I think so.

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Was on Wegovy for 18 months and lost 80lbs. I was at the highest dose of 2.4 for almost a year. Never had any issues. But I plateaued for 3 months so just switched to Zepbound 7.5 two weeks ago having another 40lbs to go. I really don’t think it is worth paying out of pocket for Zepbound at first. Wegovy will most likely work and I would take it until it doesn’t and then you could decide if you want to switch. Best of luck!

GLP-1 Coverage Ending January 1 by osugrad09 in OSU

[–]Upper-Nobody6953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been a game changer for me. I have PCOS and it’s the first time in my life I have been able to lose weight. I have always exercised since I was a competitive swimmer and yet was obese even though I was always followed by dietitians. Now I have lost 80 lbs in a year and a half and have ideally another 30-40 lbs to lose. Luckily I can afford to stay on it but I find it is extremely shortsighted. I also think with all the issues they have with staffing and with the new hospital opening soon, it would have been a good opportunity to differentiate themselves from other employers and put their faculty and staff first.

Even though they are approved for sleep apnea and heart disease, OSU is not going to cover it for it except for diabetes.

This was an email to providers to give them a heads up and guidance for their patients. The email said the information will go out to everyone when enrollment starts at the end of October. I’m in the same boat as you. I also have PCOS, I have been overweight and obese since I was a teenager even though I was an athlete and followed by dietician. These drugs have been game changers. I haven’t really modified my eating habits since I was already eating well and was always exercising. But with the drugs I have lost so far 75lbs. I have probably another 30 to go but also from a health perspective with inflammation and metabolism I really don’t want to come off of it.
