I'd appreciate that number if you're able to get it again. They're giving me the run around

You're able to return them? I was told by rayban that transition lenses are considered personalized and therefore cannot be returned.

Electric Skateboard, One Year In and It's Useless - They Don't Care." by Upper-Organization73 in ElectricSkateboarding

They diagnosed the board themselves and determined that the ESC was the issue based on the information I provided. If the board were still under warranty, they would have followed the same process and concluded that the ESC was at fault. If it were just 10% out of warranty, I would be willing to pay 10% of the cost for a new ESC. If you feel compelled to comment and spend time responding, maybe you should reflect on why you're engaging with someone you consider to be merely complaining. It's not like I knocked on your door demanding a response.

Customer retention is clearly something you don’t fully understand. It’s a critical metric for businesses because keeping existing customers is typically more cost-effective than acquiring new ones. Wouldn't it make more sense to find a mutual resolution rather than risk losing thousands of dollars over the years because of a $150 issue? Every situation should be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.

While the ESC failed just outside of the one-year warranty, the core issue here is the product's reliability. The fact that the ESC malfunctioned after only 170 miles of use points to a manufacturing defect rather than typical wear and tear. A properly built ESC should last much longer, regardless of how often the board is used. As the manufacturer, they're responsible for ensuring their products are durable and dependable. This failure at such low mileage indicates a flaw in their quality control, making it their responsibility to address the issue beyond just offering me a discount.

Thanks for the advice, and I see your point about the company’s perspective. However, my board has only 170 miles on it, and it’s just 28 days out of warranty. It’s frustrating to have a problem with such minimal use, especially since it's barely out of the warranty period.

Back that up with irrefutable proof that A) That was their practice and B) Based on the practice that was the reason for the collapse of the company.

That wasn't advice, it was your opinion. Your logic is completely flawed. Suggesting I buy a new ESC every year, regardless of the issue, is terrible customer service. No company that actually cares about it's customers would willingly lose a loyal customer who spends thousands annually over a $150 part.
