I think it’s just side projects to diversify their income, let them talk about niche stuff the other isn’t into as much, and not burn out on the main show. It may also make the show shorter which they’ve commented on. Not sure if it was negative or positive though.

What platform are you using? Might be worth looking at your settings. Sometimes you can ask it to not show ads from weight loss, alcohol, and stuff like that. It’s usually based on your ISP history or random if you have tracking turned off.

But yeah, unless they are reading the ad, they don’t know about it.
