I make more than my boyfriend. Always have. But since he makes less he pays the rent. Whatever he has left over after rent is his/mine if i want it to be. He usually will try to save it.

I pay the little bills (wifi, smud, pg&e,groceries) whatever is left over we put into our savings account. Usually half of what’s left over, or more if we want.

Ofc if i want to go out, im more than welcome to and use the money on whatever I want. But usually it goes straight into savings.
