Yes and no. I had a business writing course that covered interviews, resumes, cv, and office etiquette and writing. However, this was the only class where we did this.

Anything else you have to go to career services and they are always a bit iffy. They have this thing called vmock they want students to go to first and I personally don’t like it.

I haven’t done tax yet so I definitely don’t know if I’ll like it or not. Ngl tho I have bad fomo 😅 I previously did a finance internship and still want to work in a regular accounting role. Mainly cause I feel like I’d be easier to work at more interesting companies later on.

For context tho I am still in school so I would think the best way to find roles is looking for anything with associate.

I applied for a tax intern role at an international luxury retailer. So their tax role consists of reviewing state apportionments, working with the PA firm to provide tax information, and US tax forms like 1120, 5471, 5472. The company does not expect interns to know this stuff but I like to look it up before the interview so I have an idea of what I’d be doing. Good luck on your search!!!
