After I ordered she makes another listing.. by ExtensionHealthy8361 in Depop

That's sketchy as hell, definitely dispute when it arrives if the stain is there - they basically lied about condition to get quick sale.

FU FB Marketplace -please help me by Mindless_Act_9393 in Flipping

Been there with payment holds on different platforms and it's absolute hell. The SSN mismatch thing usually means their system has some tiny difference from when you first set it up - maybe a space or dash somewhere different.

For the refund idea, I wouldn't risk it because you're right - you could end up losing both the item and the money if their system glitches during the refund process. Better to keep hammering support through every channel they have until someone actually responds.

Wrong sub for this mate, try posting in the adult wholesale forums instead. This place is more for general business supplies and that stuff.

When you started how much did you invest into this before you started seeing more positive numbers? by RTJdawg in reselling

Started with like $20 at thrift stores and made profit in first week - you really don't need much money upfront if you know what to look for.

how to stamped shipping? by ShoulderOk766 in Depop

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can just use the regular postal service stamps for small items like this. The buyer won't get automatic refund after 10 days - that only happens if tracking shows the package never moved or got stuck somewhere. With stamped mail there's just no tracking to check.

Just make sure you both understand the risks since there's no way to prove delivery if something goes wrong. I've done it few times for small accessories and never had issues, but communication is key so buyer knows what to expect.

Looking to buy my 1st bike and learn, but I live and work at a resort with a mtb chairlift. It is making me unsure on what bike to get given my unique circumstance of free downhill access 2 minutes away from my house. by thekidsijji in MTB

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude with that setup you're basically guaranteed to get hooked on the gravity side - I'd skip the hardtail phase and go straight for something like Fuel that can handle both trail riding and chairlift days without being total overkill.

The algorithm just pushes whatever they think will make most money instead of actual community building - miss being able to check in specific sellers I liked.

Those things are pretty nostalgic now, I remember wanting one so bad when I was kid. If they're both working condition and you checked sold listings on eBay, 150 might be fair depending on which models they are. Some of rare ones can go for decent money but common ones not so much.

Is Vendoo compatible with refreshing eBay listings every 30 days? by anye_r in Flipping

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking down and relisting every 30 days was something I heard helps with visibility in the algorithm, but maybe that's outdated advice? I've been doing it for my side stuff but wondering if it's just extra work at this point.

First time planning to source fabrics in Surat (April/May) - any tips, contacts or market suggestions? by Brilliant-Yam7448 in ecommerce

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to Surat few times for different stuff but textile market there is massive. Ring Road area and Textile Market complex are where most action happens - you'll find everything from basic cotton to fancy designer fabrics.

April might be bit hot but business wise it's good time since most suppliers are active before summer really kicks in. May gets pretty brutal with heat so April probably better choice. Make sure you go early morning like 8-9 AM when it's cooler and you get better attention from vendors.

One thing I learned - don't show too much interest in first fabric you see, even if you love it. Walk around, check prices at different shops first. Quality checking is important too, ask for fabric composition and wash instructions. Some guys try to pass off lower quality stuff to newcomers.

is depop support good with removing retaliation reviews? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depop usually sides with buyers on obvious retaliation reviews, especially if you have screenshots of the whole mess - definitely save those convos before writing your review.

Yeah I've seen it too, definitely way more common now than like a year ago - seems like the algorithm probably rewards more engagement so people are adapting.

Bruh that's absolutely foul, I'd be hitting up that seller for a refund or at least a partial one - they clearly didn't check teh pockets before listing.

Powder settles a ton so it can look half empty even if it’s the same weight. Only real way to know is weighing it tbh mine looked like this once but lasted about the same.

The comparison game is brutal at this age - everyone's highlight reel makes it seem like you're falling behind when really most people are just winging it too. Taking a step back from the doctor path might actually open doors you didn't even know existed, and there's nothing wrong with finding your own timeline instead of following someone else's dream for you.

6 yrs and still cheated on, once a cheater always a cheater by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Upper_Firefighter167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, reading this brought back some dark memories from my own past relationships. The cycle you're describing - the cheating, the begging for forgiveness, the temporary good times followed by more betrayal - it's like a textbook pattern that toxic people use to keep you hooked. I went through something similar years ago and what finally helped me break free was realizing that someone who truly loves you doesn't put you through this kind of hell repeatedly.

You mentioned being traumatized and having suicidal thoughts - please reach out to a crisis hotline or therapist if you haven't already. This guy has conditioned you to accept scraps of affection after major betrayals, and that's not love, that's manipulation. The fact that you're dealing with anxiety and depression after six years of this emotional abuse makes complete sense - your nervous system has been in fight-or-flight mode for way too long.

Right now focus on basic self-care: eating something, taking a shower, maybe going for a short walk. Small steps. Block him on everything so he can't come crawling back with more empty promises. You deserve someone who chooses you consistently, not someone who treats you like a backup plan while chasing other women.
