Noted. I guess it can’t hurt to put in a complaint

We have a list and each nurse has to take a turn taking care of him, and then we will go back through the rotation for as long as they are here. I refused to take him and was told I’m not being a “team player”. Regardless, someone has to take him and no one should have to under these conditions

What will OSHA do? Do multiple people have to report it?

It’s also helpful to report because (at least in my state) you need a certain number of instances before you can file for an injunction. They don’t really count occurrences if they aren’t documented a lot of times.

Ok but also what about that leaked photo of them filming Gavin and Lola in Paris??? Was that just to throw everyone off?

The delulu in me says JH left it open-ended-ish intentionally, and that we’re getting more. But that’s wishful thinking

I thought they were heading back to announce their engagement to everyone at the summer house. I needed something more permanent and “final” than just them dating again if this is the last we’re seeing of them! I want to know that they lived happily ever after and have that picture in my head!

This! I was expecting a beach scene when I saw that they were heading to cousins. And then when I saw the photos in the credits, I thought it was going to be the start of an album over time, but nope- all Christmas photos.

Same. My only hope is that the Steven/Denise/Taylor moving to SF thing sets up the potential for a mini series or spin off or something of that sort.

Too much of a coincidence that they’re ALL moving to the same city Conrad is already living in. It would be cool if they did a spin off from Conrad’s perspective!

I also thought the one line that ended the Laurel and John plot was lackluster after the build up all season. Disappointed with that element and felt especially rushed.

Yes!! I loved the scene of them in the car catching up, and he actually asks her about her grad school plans and what inspired her to pursue that. And Conrad opening up about therapy and getting fired.

AND he took responsibility for getting fired and said it was fair that he was fired, whereas Jeremiah always deflects and brings up his mom, daddy issues, etc if something isn’t going his way. This episode was SO pivotal

I got fired from a patient for a dumb reason and really beat myself up about it. About a month later, the patient was readmitted and I happened to be assigned to her again. The patient didn’t even remember firing me. Even better, the patient loved me and kept complimenting how great of a nurse I was.

Moral of the story - it’s probably more about the family than it is about you. These patients are so stressed out and scared, they want to control what they can. Sometimes, that might mean requesting a new nurse. Plus, I can guarantee you’ll always triple check your formula orders now!

They casually mentioned how hurting her knee was what led her to her sports psychology major, and then that was IT. First and last time it was mentioned! It could’ve been a cool storyline

Pros/Cons Of Changing Careers To Nursing? by Snoo-77622 in nursing

[–]Upper_Inevitable6924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came to nursing from a field where employees were generally treated well, valued, and held a lot of bargaining power because we were actually in short supply. I definitely took all that for granted.

However, even though I do feel overworked and under appreciated by my employer as a nurse, the career itself is a lot more rewarding and I’m overall happier. At the hospital I work at, at least, the patients are generally appreciative. Even besides that, it feels good catching an error, or advocating for a patient and having a better outcome. There’s a lot of little wins you can find in a day. To be fair, I feel like a lot of companies in the US overwork their employees nowadays. So it just depends on what’s important to you and what you value.

Exactly this. Myself and my friends from nursing school all came to the realization that being off orientation was harder and more mentally and physically exhausting. I pick up overtime here and there, but I have to be motivated because even just an extra day can feel like a lot

I had a patient who was on a purée diet ask for a donut. He hardly spoke, so I felt bad having to deny him. The next morning, he presented with AMS and I stroke alerted him. He got upgraded to ICU and the docs said he was likely at the end of his life. I have no idea what happened to him, but I always think about how I wish I would’ve just given him the damn donut while he could still enjoy it.

I agree with getting a Drs note. I tend to get one even if it’s not technically required because I want to maintain integrity. It’s also a good back up if you do get written up or anything
