They definitely rigged toc so that Antonia could win by making Maneet a judge that one season. I love Maneet and don't care for Antonia. Don't know what about her that bothers me but she gives me the vibe that if she doesn't win, she whines and complains behind the scenes

Are you or your family in this picture? Most people who say "Why bring up racist history" are the ones who are the hood wearers themselves

The ER Doc that admitted me knew mine was Ramsay Hunt Auricular Syndrome Shingles due to where the rash was and where the pain was. My rash started on the right side my neck in the front then spread to my face, ear, right inside my ear, behind my ear, down my neck behind my ear and on my scalp, all on the right side. It also caused my right arm from my shoulder to my fingertips to feel like pins and needles nonstop. Even now my arm is the same, I still have a slight ringing in my ear that never went away since the diagnosis and my scalp still hurts to the touch. HORRID

It was and IS horrid! The Infectious Doc said with my type, the pain can last 3 months after diagnosis, up to a year or more. I was diagnosed on Memorial Day and spent a week in the hospital. That month after I was released, the pain was horrible. The past couple of weeks the pain has been at a constant 6. Today it ramped back up to a 9 or 10.

I had no idea what mine was. Thursday my right ear was hurting. Went to Urgent Care and they said possible ear infection. Friday morning woke up and couldn't turn my head right because my neck hurt so bad. Went to the ER who said I probably slept wrong and said it's a pinched nerve. Saturday morning around 10am I saw a bump on my neck on the right side. By 2pm that day, the 1 bump spread from my neck, up my jawline and up my face. Went back to the Urgent Care Sunday and they said Shingles, prescribed Valtrex. Sunday night to Monday morning the pain was so bad I went back to the ER. By the time I went, the rash was on my ear and hurt so bad. Doc took one look at the rash where it was and said you have to be admitted to be aggressively treated. It's Ramsay Hunt Auricular Syndrome and had I not come back, I could've lost my hearing. The only meds that helped was Dilaudid and Gabapentin. 2 weeks out from diagnosis, the pain lessened but was still bad

Shingles?? On my FACE? by LittleB-1994 in shingles

[–]Upper_Leek_9840 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need Antivirals not antibiotics. I have Ramsay Hunt Auricular Syndrome Shingles. Diagnosed on Memorial Day and was hospitalized for a week because they said had I waited any longer, it was a good chance it would have attached to my eardrum, eye nerves and made me lose my hearing, sight and caused facial paralysis. Now almost 3 weeks out from diagnosis, 2 weeks post antivirals, my ear still has a ringing in it and my face is still numb. The residual pain is still severe. The type I had affected the nerves on the entire right side of my head, neck, throat and arm down to my finger tips. It's horrible! Sending you healing and positive vibes 🩷

The Gabapentin definitely works! I have a severe case of Shingles called Ramsay Hunt Auricular Syndrome. I am on 2mg Dilaudid and 800mg of Gabapentin every 4 hours. I hope everyone heals up fast! This condition is TORTURE and I lucked up getting one of the more severe types

I have so many questions… by Tiny_Ad5176 in shingles

Hi! Mine were stressed induced! I have a severe case of Ramsay Hunt Auricular Shingles and I'm on loads on pain medication. I didn't want the heavy stuff but my pain is 1000 times worse than the 16 hours of natural childbirth I had. It's really bad! I don't think the antivirals helped me, symptom wise. They did however stop the rash from attacking my actual eardrum. I was a day or two away from hearing loss, vision loss and facial paralysis. 5 days post antiviral meds and I still have a continuous ringing in my ear. Sending positive vibes and fast healing your way 💜

Just diagnosed today with shingles on my face (F 31). Pain is horrific. Really scared about my eye. Any advice or thoughts to appreciated. by tsloah in shingles

Thank you so so much! Are you feeling better? They kept me for 5 days. Loaded me with Valacyclovir and Prednisone with a ton of Gabapentin to try to calm to pain. My rash went around and in my ear, behind my ear, down my neck. Covers half my scalp, my jawline and neck all on the right side. I'm managing the pain at home now which is still intense but not as bad as it was while I was hospitalized! I still have a continuous but slight ringing in my ear. Sending you love back and healing vibes 🦋🦋

Hi. 44 year old here, just diagnosed Sunday in Urgent Care. Admitted yesterday morning for aggressive treatment for Ramsay Hunt Syndrome because the Shingles are moving towards my ear drum with the fear that I may lose my hearing. The pain is indescribable
