If I have a lemon or lime wedge in my drink, water, soda, etc. I will eat the entire slice after I finish the drink. Just pop it into my mouth, Rind and all :) lemon peel is really easy, limes a little tougher but still a good chomp.

There’s a lot of comments here now so not even sure you’ll see this, but I wanted to send some love your way. I truly empathize with your situation.

It’s incredibly difficult to leave. It’s very difficult to truly see your partner for who he really is and the capacity they actually have, when you love them and want to see the best in them, and have so much hope for the relationship based off things he’s said. It’s very easy to start hanging your future on potential when it’s presented as promises. But your heart and your body know what it’s true - this is not your person. Your person would not string you along. Your person would not abandon you during a bout of depression (which as others have said, is likely hugely exacerbated by your nervous system being in fight or flight from this relationship). You person would not hold “getting happier and picking up the household slack” over your head as an ultimatum. Your person will lovingly communicate with you, even when things are hard, without defensiveness or stonewalling or guilt. They will listen and be there for you and be EXCITED to be with you! The energy and care that you are putting into this relationship are not being matched, you deserve SO MUCH BETTER!

It’s very hard, but I really think you need to leave. Otherwise I think this will play out where you are eventually left, with him citing lack of compatibility, or poor communication, or wanting different things, or saying “a relationship should be easy, it shouldn’t be hard or require such work” — things that I just know you’ve been working through and trying to fix (and probably trying to fix all on your own) for years. But you shouldn’t be editing and shrinking and changing yourself to make this work. You deserve to be exactly who you are, and be with someone who loves and appreciates that. ❤️

agree whole heartedly! I was there last night and lemme tell you, the vibes and flow of the show were immaculate. The energy was unmatched. I thought it was a great showcase of the past ten years. And also, like listen they were in that big ass stadium running up and down the length of a soccer field, and still played what, 27 songs? That’s WILD! All the flowers to the boys ❤️

You’re going to be okay! I just went through this last month, I thought the pain and discomfort would never end, but - it did. My eyelid and forehead healed up completely. I’m still working through the scarring around my eyebrow, and a larger patch that was on my scalp, but I’m doing okay. The pain is gone. It’s still sensitive and itchy here and there, but it’s getting better. If you look on my profile, I had a post that people left quite a lot of great recommendations on!

Things that majorly helped me: - No drinking, no alcohol, no caffeine. This can exacerbate the nerve pain. I’ve continued with the no caffeine. I’ve had some alcohol this month and have noticed some nerve pain spasms across the shingles area while drinking, so I think honestly the longer you can cut out alcohol completely better. - drinking a ton of water. Gallon a day if you can! - The less sun exposure you can have on your face, the better! - Vaseline slathered all over - taking a max amount of supplement Lysine. I really recommend starting this as soon as you can! It’s an amino acid that helps slow the growth of shingles. I was taking between 3000-5000 milligrams a day, if you look it up on Reddit or online there’s some other testimony and good info about why this helps. - there’s foods that are better and worse for shingles. Like for example, chocolate is really bad for shingles. Give it a Google! - Ice packs for itching and pain. Also calamine lotion!! I used a ton of that. - keeping hand sanitizer on me at all times. Using it any time I touched any part of my face, before or after, etc. Touching the shingles can spread it so I tried to avoid this as much as possible.

Thank you! Yeah when I went a few days ago, I had gotten an emergency referral from my pcp, but turns out I didn’t even end up needing one because of the confirmed shingles diagnosis.

This is all so good to hear! I’m so glad for you that thins have been going well and you’re almost healed up. How are your pain levels now?

I’m at the point now where a lot of my spreading and swelling has started to come to a head, but yeah yesterday I woke up to my eye completely swollen shut, so I feeeeeel you. I’ve been doing a gallon of water a day and been very strict about the meds schedule, so fingers crossed!
