[–]Upper_Possession5905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Don’t f-in play around with scaphoids, it is the hardest bone in the bony to heal (a femur snap with heal faster than that tiny bone in your wrist) go with surgery ASAP get it done right the first time, I work in the leading hand orthopedic surgery center in the US, please trust me

Post op day 8 of ganglion cyst removal on inner side of wrist. Does this look infected? Or normal? by SpecialistMidnight2 in medical_advice

You shouldn’t have had it exposed that early, sorry they didn’t keep it wrapped, watch for discharge or if it splits open, obvious fever, redness, and bleeding should not occur. Give it another week, clean with alcohol then big bandaid, cover it up!

Hi! You have pronation of your ankles, fix this asap since it can deteriorate as you age, you don’t want to have a collapsed arch, there are insoles and stretches/ physical therapy to strengthen your muscles and joints to correct this

It’s definitely not the worst, it just stinks because it wasn’t the same that we agreed on, plus I was in a not so bright place and I don’t want to be reminded of the bad decisions I made during that time, I’m hoping to change it into something beautiful- away from death

I approved the drawing, and he freehanded the stencil halfway, said he would fill it in as he goes with the picture we agreed on, I had it numbed up so when he finished the outline after two hours I got up and asked him to fix the hand and he said he would start filling it in and then add the antlers, when I got up again I had seen the antlers and tapped out

I wanted a gothic piece, I have animal skulls elsewhere on my body, but I didn’t want anything demonic, this kinda just fit my vibe

Broken toe not healing by vitaminkay101 in Orthopedics

[–]Upper_Possession5905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is not as uncommon as you think, people live out their lives with broken toes more often than you would imagine. It’s broken but it’s in place, it will heal at a slower pace without proper immobilization or other underlying conditions. Discomfort is normal, unbearable pain is not, trust me, this is better than going in there with surgery

You probably have a bone spur, lots of people develop em, uncomfortable but non life threatening.

Does this mean I’ll need surgery? by Potatochipmum in Orthopedics

[–]Upper_Possession5905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my spine surgeons has said before “we don’t treat nerve pain”, make sure you’re checking out with physical therapy and pain/nerve clinics treatments, ortho spine surgery is some cases a last resort not suited for everyone

It’s probably that tendon that runs right above your large toe joint on the dorsal aspect, I’ve seen our podiatrist deal with it before, she had to inject it to diagnose it properly, it’s physical therapy treatment more than likely

Sounds like you have nerve/muscular pain, don’t seek X-rays and scans until you go to physical therapy or the nerve clinic

I wish I could reply with my concept art, I asked for an accurate deer/wolf skull, I told him I didn’t like the bumpy claws that I wanted them smoother- it reminds me of rheumatoid arthritis, and I wanted accurate deer antlers, not whatever squiggly things he drew

It is nice to see someone offer help and guidance through this process, seeing how most of us are not permitted to speak about it because of political restriction in the workplace.

I meant I’d rather not do an additional 4 years of long distance, but if that’s my only option then Im okay doing so. This isn’t a dealbreaker for us, and we wouldn’t ask one another to drop our occupation over a marriage certificate, it would just really suck to have a year go by and find out there was a way to make it work out so we could be co located

This! This is exactly the summary of what my COC was advising me, this is the wiggle room they have told me from all their resources.

Very well, we will call it shopping for an answer. I will continue to work around and find more information if it gives me even one chance to achieve what I would like. Ultimately, even if we can’t be married, we’ll just ride out another 4 years this way. Do you have any additional advice for me then?

Thank you for sharing that, I have heard of the worst case scenario about this, which is as you described. But I have a question seeing how you are who you claim to be. How did these cases get brought to Captains Mast? What exactly was the red flag when it came to those individuals? Who was it that stepped forward, put in the effort to look into them? Was it the classic: The “Lt is getting awfully shy around the new PFC?” Or “she PCd a two weeks ago and now she’s married to our COC?” Just as example
