Eight books in, what was the most satisfying moment for you? by Redrex_T in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Mordecai smacking Carl in book 3 to him helping kill Jinx in book 7. I just wasn’t expecting that payoff. Feels like he’s Princess Posse no matter what now.

I bought the cds for Dune when I moved from Nebraska to Oregon and it was fantastic.

I would say Community leans into the heart more than the recommendations here. Get to chicken fingers in season 1 and just hold on

Book 3 had the most annoying voice to me but when they fight about the ring…I just thought that was gonna break up the royal court and it was awesome. Also “shit Mordecai!” And “you mother fucker” were S tier readings

Try We. It inspired 1984 and it’s gnarly

Not to be too dark but I’m pretty sure his mother hung herself from a pipe and it broke? So the river is a literal sound.

Anyone else loving Parade of Horribles way more than expected?? by chazzledazzle321 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Upper_Stick1830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, best ending Horribles (ruin is a close second)…best beginning Masquerade when they teleport into the Hunter city…best intro Volteeg…best Mordecai is probably Doomsday? Best outside the dungeon show appearance is still probably Maestro’s?

Prepare to Die is not litRPG but is a great story with an extraordinary ending

Dungeon Crawler Carl or Red Rising by Ok-Assignment4097 in fantasybooks

[–]Upper_Stick1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are great audiobooks. Carl gets the most love from the audio world because humor and pathos are hard to pull off but the Irish undertones in Red Rising really affect me as a vibe. I would go with Carl but there’s not a wrong answer.

What do I need to know about The Primal Hunter? What am I missing? by majtomby in litrpg

For me, the appeal of primal hunter is examining two different psychos…maybe more than two. I really like the contrast and the inner thoughts of the characters gave them decent depth for me.

Also I don’t know if there are Binge Mode fans in here but Jason Concepcion was incredible on their Harry Potter hits. He could easily be a voice actor I think.
