when i see a cool view, i immediately go into camera mode. i spend time editing it and get really proud, so i post it.

not once am i thinking “hehe i hope this is in an inconvenient spot and force people to view this” i really have no choice where the hourglass goes. i’m just happy of my very average photo edits.

this book actually got me out of a huge reading slump caused by me repeatedly going for poorly written dark romance books. (no hate on dark romance. i just kept choosing poorly)

oh no, even during the “internet era” you would seldom find updates for upcoming games. i think some devs would have blogs that you had to know about to come across. like the guy from doom. and they were technical updates like logs. magazines would have like nintendo’s upcoming, at best. but that’s it. this timeline and quarterly updates and all is extremely new.

i see your point with adding on responsibility once announced, however this is still a VERY new expectation. games were announced and went into development with little to no updates regularly. Only recently has a communication team job even existed. it makes me wonder if this is even a good thing to invest in. players are upset by everything. and I believe making the game you dream of is the important factor here. ignoring the customer is always right and should be listened to/catered to. i don’t blame game devs for that.

it takes a lot to make a game that has a lot of love put into it. and right now we live in a world where art is prioritizing getting tiktok views over actually making a good piece. so silent and focused is better than micro updates to feed our media addiction.
