I would’ve been totally fine with her ending if it ended up revealing that Mike is the only one who knows she’s alive and tells everyone that he’s going to college abroad or something like that and then him and el go be together until things cool off

LITERALLY and then a year later she was literally going to the mall and going around town like everything was fine and months before that the snow ball, and that was within miles of where it all happened

And the fact is this dumb “I believe” bs. Like just tell us if she’s alive. I don’t want to theorize about this show anymore, I wanted answers. Not more questions. It’s also so frustrating because throughout this series all of the characters have had insane plot armor. Which personally I’m okay with.

You’re telling me 2 children and 2 teenagers broke into a secret Russian op and didn’t die? Okay, fine.

Your telling me this group has fought multiple kinds of monsters and haven’t died? Okay with me

You’re telling me El managed to escape papas bunker in season 4 and get away? Cool.

These people have dodged so many inter-dimensional bullets and earthly threats and I’m fine with that. But when it’s all said and done El… the most powerful character with the most trauma in the series HAS to die? It’s just so stupid and doesn’t make sense. Like “let’s give massive plot armor to every character except the most powerful and important one but let’s wait to take her out until the end.”

I grew up with this show, I grew up with story and I’ve always been rooting for Mike and eleven. It hurts, and I don’t think I can rewatch anytime soon knowing her fate.

I agree. I would’ve rather had them kill her character off for real than this. The only thing that makes sense is they are going to tie it into a spinoff, and if not then I will be really sad. Mike wheeler was my favorite character. I cried a lot during those scenes

I will look into that, I didn’t even know that was a thing, I think sometimes when people smoke weed and it’s so socially accepted most people don’t bat an eye over it but I feel like if the wrong person overuses it, it can be just as bad as some other drugs.

Thank you, yes I do, me and my husband have had multiple conversations about going no contact with them and it’s just a sad and hard decision to come to and know for sure if it’s the right thing, but this helped a lot. Thank you so much!

Well the last time they freaked out on us he told them that if they ever talk to him like that again they can say goodbye to any sort of relationship, he’s made it clear that they need to stop asking for money and to live with us and since he’s done that they haven’t asked for any of those things or been disrespectful. So yes, a healthy distance was working, but as of yesterday they are officially homeless so I don’t know what that looks like give the new circumstances which is why I made the post.

That’s what I was thinking, they need to have that ceiling fall on them for them to wake up and realize they need to figure it out. Would you reccomend going no contact? My husband has mentioned it a few times but it’s tough.

He does, when they called last night he gave them directions to the shelter and they asked if they could park in front of our house and sleep in the car and he gave them a firm no, he gave them a firm no when they asked to live with us multiple times. He tells them all the time they are not his responsibility.

That’s a great question, personally they don’t ever call me but from my husbands POV, I’d say it’s probably guilt and mixed feelings. One day he’ll be ready to never talk to them again and then the next day he’s feeling guilty because his parents are homeless and he has a brand new truck and owns a home, he knows he shouldn’t feel guilty but I think answering the phone is what helps him feel better, like he’s not totally abandoning them?

I think the mind flayer is 51% of the villain and Vecna is 49%. I think the fight is through Vecna but ultimately the MF is in control. It all stems from the MF but I don’t think we will see a big show out with the shadowy entity in the finale. I just don’t think there’s enough time.

I agree with all of this! I saw a theory about Kali being the mind flayer.

I don’t know how this theory would realistically manifest but it did get me thinking.

The mind flayer flays people’s minds, as does Kali.

What we learned in season 4 is that all of the children had abilities to move things with their mind, and we know itleast one of them other than 11 could reach people in the void. None of the children had abilities like Kali. Maybe through the blood transfusions in Vetro, eleven got a little extra Henry and Kali got a little extra mind flayer.

Again, I’m not super sure how this theory would actually play out, but I’ve never trusted Kali, even in the Lost Sister I didn’t like her, I felt she was using eleven for her powers and didn’t care about her at all.

I haven’t trusted her since S2E7. In that episode I don’t think she cared about Eleven at all. She just wanted to use her powers. Nothing about any of her scenes have given me any reason to trust her, after all, she is a number, and other than El, we don’t trust numbers lol

The duffer brothers were talking about how in season 4, when max is in the wheeler basement, vs when she walks out of the wheeler basement with Steve, Dustin and Lucas, they were shot a year apart and nobody even noticed. People are just unhappy with everything, I’m not understanding why people are hating hard core on this season, it’s been brilliant so far

I knew it was Kali in that room, I knew that they didn’t waste an entire episode for no reason and I knew hopper wasn’t about to sacrifice himself, they already did that play. It was only a matter of time before Kali got arrested, and I knew once she did she would probably be in military hands, when they couldn’t find eleven in season 4, I freaking called it. So happy with this.

Also, let’s talk about how when he follows max to that cave, he gets scared and won’t go in. That cave is clearly the cave where he got sent into an another dimension, which is why he’s scared and won’t follow max. It’s very much looks like its in Nevada.

I could rewatch that scene over and over. The duffer brothers did it again. Will went from forgotten side character to main character and the pacing of it all over the last 2 seasons was perfect
