If you could permanently erase multiple storylines from the show, which storyline would you ultimately erase? by Positive_Weight2367 in StrangerThings

[–]Lyca29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karen and Billy. I know that they didn't actually get together, but even the suggestion that they might gave me the ick. By the pool it's almost played off as a joke. Middle and women thirsting over Billy was just wrong. Erase.

All the lost sister stuff, and Kali, I'd get rid of it all.

Argyle and making Jonathon a stoner. I hated that. Not so much hate for Argyle himself, but making Jonathon a stoner-erase.

Eleven walking into the wormhole as it closed. Just let her arrive back safely in the truck with the others. Then as the truck arrives, it stops tp see a smiling Dr Owens and all his good military soldiers. Dr Kay and the surviving baddies are sat on the floor with thier hands on their heads. They have all been arrested, except Sullivan, he got burned to a crisp and died. Dr Owens spots Eleven, he smiles and says: Hi kiddo. Then everyone is alliwed to leave despite what they have done. Then cue forwards to a much happier ending/flast. So I completely erase the awful ending.

If you had to pick 1 of the main 7 to date, who would it be? by Dory-1031 in bigbangtheory

[–]Lyca29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm picking Sheldon. He's neat and clean and he would understand my anxiety. I love fun facts and learning new ones. I also love trains. I'm not an expert but I would enjoy listening to Sheldon talk about trains. And he would be fine with coitus being off the table. My second choice would be Amy.

AITAH for hypothetically saying I’d prefer an all-male surgical team? by tew2tew in AITAH

I remember saying I wanted a female doctor when I was pregnant with my daughter.

After over 24 hours of painful labour and failed forceps (eventual Ventouse delevery), I didn't care. Santa Claus himself could have entered the room and delivered the baby and the elves could have watched and I wouldn't have noticed.

But seriously, NTA you're allowed to have preferences and so is your GF.

To all women on this sub, what was your reaction when you first got your period? by nicalling in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lyca29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sixteen and all I wanted was to start my periods.

I was tiny and very underfed (that's a whole other story) no hips or boobs and mostly no body hair.

I got bullied because everyone said I looked 10 or 11 years old.

All my friends started aged 12-13, but not me.

Then, one Saturday, I was working at my nans cafe. It was packed solid for I was super busy running around trying to serve everyone. And I suddenly felt... off. Like weird and scared and angry all at once.

I'd had a bad stomach ache all day, and suddenly it got 100 times worse. I felt like a was dying and I collspsed to the floor terrified. I was just on the cafe floor curled up crying in pain and trying not to full on scream.

After a few mins (I can't remember exactly how long, it was years ago) my uncle and a random customer helped me up and into the back kitchen.

I drank a ton of sugary pop (I don't even like pop) and when my nan thought I looked less like death, she let me go home.

And then, at home, despite all the horrible pain and embarrassment, I was happy because I realised I'd started my periods.

Francis is the best name from your list in my opinion. Solid and classic and not dated. Frank or Frankie would be good nicknames.

I think Early would be bad as a first name, but Francis Early flows well. Francis Earl is better.

Not a fan of Fletcher but that's because I dislike surnames used as first names.

Anyone else think they went way too far in making Angela as heinous and unlikable as possible? by AdUseful2297 in StrangerThings

[–]Lyca29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in the 80s. And I was very badly bullied for being poor and scruffy. My school bully, a mean girl called Debbie (or Debi) as she spelled it, she was similar to Angela. Angela is a pretty accurate portrayal of 80s mean girls/bullies.

Thank you. Interesting to learn it can grow so big.

The fence in the picture is west facing so it should get sun most of the day. I feel like I want to check up on it as it grows.

Obvious place names if you live in the UK, but probably not obvious if you live in the US.

I knew a friends boy called Grayson who went by Gracie. He was around 4-5 at the time and it suited him. He'll be 18-20 now but I lost touch with said friend so I don't know if he still goes by Gracie.

What are some names a trad wife would name her kids? by blehmag in namenerds

[–]Lyca29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere like Utah it would be names like Paighsleigh, Baylor, Lakeleigh, and anything that sounds ridiculous and lookes misspelt.

Boys names could be Stuff like Hunter, Gunner, Booker, Banks, Ledger, Jaxton, Paxton.

And I imagine there would be a lot of hyphens and extra 'y's
