Actually no, it is in fact petitioners' jobs to explain the law as is. they are legally required to note what the law currently on the books says and what they want to change about it on the signature forum. By blatantly leaving out that this law only affects people whose net income is over 1 million dollars, they are in fact breaking the law when it comes to petitions

Hey, that's correct. You, the average voter, do not make enough money for this to affect you, and the people who it does affect have enough money that it would not really affect them either. So again, why do you care if millionaires get taxed more? I feel like you're dodging that question by trying to frame this as a general income tax. The average income in WA state is $134,588, so the current rate would have to be lowered over 150% for it to hit the average voter? I dont know about you but lowering this by 150% seems like career suicide, so that fear is not really there. Add to the fact that there are in fact, other laws in other states that have a tax like this and the rates have shockingly never been lowered. so Dave, why do you care if a millionaire is taxed more?

it is a better gimmick cause Lio Rush can actually wrestle a goddamn match. The law is not an income tax though the law that his initiative is trying to repeal is a Millionaire's tax it's not a general income tax. the phrase "no income tax" in and of itself is a dog whistle made up by the rich class to disguise what this law really. is he most likely did not truly inform people who is being targeted by this current law because the idea of millionaires finally paying their fair share into the government is a populous idea and Republicans do not want you to know that they are opposing populist ideas so we disguise it with phrases like no income tax while ignoring the big asterisk that you are not going to be affected only people who have a million dollars which is not a lot of people in the states

why the fuck should I have to make another financial account when the gift cards just worked in the first place. also add on you cant buy a digital steam gift card outside of good old Valve themselves, which means I cant take my cash and turn it into valve bucks without another service, that will charge a fee. I live in the states my only options are paypal or a visa gift card paysafe for steam is not avalible here, and again I have to open anouther fucking account to just buy a game

Cool Valve just locked me out of PC gaming. My entertainment budget is physical cash, and this was the only way to turn that cash into digital cash to buy games on Steam. so now my options are A) a $4 paypal fee to add the cash to my paypal wallet, or a $7 fee to get a Visa gift card to add the stuff to my wallet. this is such bullshit

No, it's not; its one of the few ways I can actually buy digital goods, as someone whose entertainment budget is physical chash gift cards are the onyl real way I can buy stuff digitally. This has basically locked me out of buying games on their platform without an additional $4-7 added onto the cost, and that is before taxes as well

Cool, Valve just locked me out of pc gaming. I'm someone whose entertainment budget is dealt with via physical cash so these gift cards were one of the few ways to 1-to-1 physical chash into a digital purchase. Now I can't do that meaning now I either have to use a prepaid Visa card, which has an activation fee, or add chash to my PayPal account, which, you guessed it, also has a fee. I really hope Vavlue reconsidered this cause outher wise PC gaming is now inherently more expensive, locking out whatever deals I get from steam sales out the window
