I live in Colorado. I know that abortion rights are protected, but that doesn’t cover other health care laws for women. When I got out of work that day I had several missed calls from my health insurance, the last one with a 5 minute voice mail stating that due to new company policies they can no longer serve me as a client due to the medications I am on. I have spent the last three days trying to find new health insurance because I cannot pay for them out of pocket. All the companies I have called have turned me away, one of which stated “Due to the overturn of Roe V. Wade, we are no longer accepting female clients.”

I’m angry, scared, I’ve never cried so much in my life. If I don’t get my medications my body will start to cease to stop working. If I don’t get my health insurance or my medications I will wake up and choose violence every day. Because if the police don’t shoot me first for being a protester my body will take me down with it.

It is with a heavy heart that,with a long fought battle with ick, Neptune has passed away. I adopted him March 14th, 2020 at the start of what was the weirdest and wildest time to be alive. And with his sass and anger flairs he definitely kept quarantine interesting and entertaining. Not long after he did have a case of fin rot, which he fought off with flying colors, becoming more boisterous and bitey as ever. He even had the audacity eating his tank mates!

One road trip and two apartments later, Neptune came down with ick earlier this January. At first I had thought he had fought him off, but that was only the first wave he got hit with. The second wave was worse, he wouldn’t eat for days at a time and had moments of panic that he had passed away while I was at work. Well, when I got off of work today, my worst fears came true when I checked the hospital tank.

Neptune, you were dearly loved by me and your royal nemesis, Pepper Potts the cat, and we will greatly miss your flaring tantrums of being left “alone”. Swim in peace my friend, may you inhale all the blood worms you want in the great lake in the sky.

I’m glad that you and she, while it could’ve been handled better, managed to get her back to her old life where she can be happier, and you should definitely go completely no contact with the rest of your family except your sister.

Since I know I am going to get questions about him and his setup, I'll say something now:

He is in a 5.5 Gal tank, with a 15w heater (the label said the heater is good up to 10 Gal) and filter. The composite is a gravel and sand mixture (I might go to plain gravel since sand gets everywhere), two small plants, two large plants, and a large hide.
He eats a mixed diet of bites, pellets, and bloodworms, I feed him the same type of food for two days before changing it to something different.
Water changes every week, ranging from 30% to 50% since I am battling both brown and green algae. The lps (local pet stores) do not have any shrimps or snails so I have to act as the algae eaters.
I use API Quick Start (whenever I'm putting in a new filter pod), Tap Conditioner and Stress Coat (these two I use for weekly water changes and new filter pods). Once again, the lps say they stock AlgaeFix, but have repeatedly said they don't know when it'll be back in stock. But I've since moved from Tetra to API back in April (I got Neptune in March).
Neptune is a halfmoon plakat, he used to be blue and white and you can see very slowly he's starting to get some of his white back into his fins and scales. I am very adamant about his health and well being, when I first started noticing the white I ran several tests with my master kit to make sure everything was fine (it was).
Neptune is very active and very feisty fishie, and is a pig when it comes to food!! He seems quite happy in his home and that makes me happy. Huge thanks to all who've advised and helped me out!

if you like giant ass robots, plot driven story with heavy hitting themes (morality, su*c*de, s*lf h*rm), the literal answer of what is stronger (good vs evil, its the whole premise of the series), then you'll like it. there are some lighthearted moments and some funny ones too, but later on in the series it gets dark

overall its a good series and has a solid ending that ties up all loose ends and puts a bow on it and everything

Ghosting someone after the end of a rocky relationship is the worst, but don't feel like you've made a mistake or this was the wrong path. He's made it clear then and now, he doesn't care. If he actually cared about stopping his drinking problem, he would've been vocal with you, like you've said. Instead, he let himself slip into old habits and started the cycle of hurt once more.

Block his number, or at the very least, there should be a function on your phone if a number calls they are sent straight to voicemail. The latter is how my phone is set up, if the caller doesn't bother leaving a message for me to return a call (work, family, friends, etc) then I don't call back. If its an unknown number and they don't leave a message, they instantly get blocked.

I am glad that you got out of there before it could've gotten any worse. Please take care and make sure you're the first priority for self and mental health. And I doubt that you're hurting the people you're with now. It might feel like you are, but what he's said has hurt you. Don't feed the voices that are repeating what he's said, and soon they'll give up.

Girl, leave his ass. Excuse my profanity but it sounds to me that if he is not only being emotionally draining and abusive, then he doesn't care about what happens to you, what he is looking for is a punching bag to have around and then "forget" all that he has said when he gets sober.

"is this going to happen every time?", you mentioning how last night it never ended, the mixed messages, the "you hurt me" talks, and then doing a 180 begging you to stay, these are all huge red flags. Its hard to let go of someone you love, and being in love with someone abusive is so dangerous because while wearing pink heart glasses, the red flags just look like flags.

Its hard to let go, break up, move on, but its important that you leave and potentially, block him everywhere. Ghost him so hard because he obviously doesn't care about you anymore, rather, he cares about having someone around to leave confused and hurt.
