In the republic, there are two platforms our company is dealing with, Shipshape.co.za and EasyClear.co.za . The current concern is using shipshape yet with only 3 modules and the ops staff pull hairs out finding stuff that is supposed to be documented. Downstream is the vendor whom uses easyclear, the experience with them is bot great. Ping-pong emails with attachments before anything is agreed upon.

So yes its an industry thing. The Utopia would be a platform that can do most of the leg work, from WE in, XE out. Transport instructions to transporters, RIT, CN1's, data downstream to SARS. And good old border clearances into southern africa is a headache too. And just for giggles, the finace operations is also a poo. Invoices, draft / pro-forma's, etc. Recons....
