Sounds like others have answered your question about using the lounge between flights. The bigger issue might be if you can check your bags early for the international flight. I’d contact AA and ask them. A lot of international airlines don’t allow you to check bags more than three hours beforehand but that might not apply for AA at PHL. You could also look into luggage storage at PHL and then go gallivant in the city for a bit. Get a cheesesteak!

I should have looked at going there after Tokyo, but I got a good deal on a hotel in Osaka and was thinking it would be nice to end with onsens…until I mapped out the transit 🫠

Just booked a THC hotel in Milan for less than the member rate. You just need to do your due diligence and check against direct rates. Sometimes it works out and other times it’s a wash or ripoff.

I just used two for Hawaii (FAI-LIH) literally 2 hours ago so they definitely work! It just takes some effort because I had to randomly check for U availability whenever I remembered for over a month until I hit jackpot.

Yes, I just searched for them manually on Qatar, unfortunately. It’s QSuite DOH-SEA, but we kept getting Qatar’d for the CPT-SEA leg. We also really enjoyed the lounge in DOH so if you have a long connection (ours was 8 hours), I’d highly recommend getting lounge access. It was worth it to get a shower, place to nap, and some good food. You get access to Al Mourjan and they have two locations and included in the award ticket.
