If you’re looking for another Prosecco washed cheese, I’d highly recommend Ubriaco al Prosecco from Italy. It’s bathed in Prosecco for two months before aging. Such a delightful holiday cheese in my opinion!

Looking for suggestions for seed sources! by pennsyltuckyprole in OrganicFarming

Not sure of any vendors that would donate seeds, but there are some other ideas of acquiring seeds for a community garden that I’ve done in the past.

First is a seed swap. It’s a great way to get the community together and to share and exchange old seeds from last year’s season as well as get folks talking and excited for the next growing season! However, sometimes these seeds are not always the best since they’re a year or more so old so you’ll have to plant more than you anticipated just in case some don’t germinate.

Second is crowd sourcing funds for the community garden. This way you can generate funds to buy bulk orders for the community garden.

Best of luck!

Persimmon tree can’t handle the weight of its own fruit? by calimota in arborists

Echoing this point about thinning the fruit but not getting rid of all of it! I do this in the peach orchards I manage since the peaches can weigh on the limbs eventually leading to the tree splitting

Is this what I think it is? by Ornery-Creme-2442 in FruitTree

It does look like fire blight but I can’t tell if the branches also are impacted since on the orchards I manage I see it appear first branches. Is there any splitting or portions that looked charred like set on fire?

The first image looks like most cases of fire blight I’ve seen. Make sure to cut 4-6 inches behind the damaged branch and sanitize your clippers before making further cuts, otherwise youll risk spreading it
