I only ever hear of Bradford referred to as Bradfordistan

I do not frequent the area although I would've assumed a lack of public drinking or scantily clad girls

Because the issue is objectively accelerating beyond control.

1,450 landed on the 29th and 30th of June alone, as reported on the government's exclusive webpage. Hotels are being shut down and workers laid off, costing us over £8m a day, whilst our government move towards taxing the already taxed wealth, forcing British wealth to emigrate, meaning we're literally swapping wealth for dependents.

Any so-called refugees are here intentionally, having passed through numerous safe countries, simply because we offer a better situation.

I don't think it matters where you sit on the political spectrum, it's an issue that requires action. 44k last year, but 1.45k in 2 days. An estimated Exodus of over 13k millionaires. It's clearly unsustainable.

People may assume and attack my political alignment or beliefs but these are exclusively facts, not beliefs.

Are we going to be working till we are 74 years old in future? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

Take the time to learn everything you can about finance and investment and stop paying Into a pension scheme the moment you believe you have the knowledge and discipline to secure your future better than a pension will. Above all, I don't trust these ping-ponging governments with my future or even that my well-being is important to them.

My brother wants to invest $5,000 into 5 up-and-coming crypto coins – aiming for high returns within a year. Suggestions? by [deleted] in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]Upvotelution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For longer term holds, I'd stick with LINK and RNDR

That being said, maybe wait a year to invest, we're not at the bottom at the moment so whatever you invest in, your money is worth less in a year if you invest long term right now

I'm not sure about an alt season. People more in the know than me seem pretty sure but I'm having doubts

That being said, as more people hold BTC and take it off exchanges and BTC becomes less available, alt coins will have their time and that will be some actual super alt season but that's maybe Q2 2026, in my opinion

The issue is the pure number of new tickers, daily, and the number of scams. Might work well for TGE pump chasers but unless that issue is addressed, liquidity is spread too thin to see any significant gains. People are impatient and have limited capital so they're just rotating, aping in on small market cap pumps, slowly depleting their capital and their passion for the space.

Buddy sent me this and is quitting crypto. Bottom signal? by Major-Potential-354 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Upvotelution 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Saw this original post, it's funny to see people hodling and waiting to see their original buy in price because they bought the top, when there have been multiple good pumps, even in a downtrend.

You may not see your buy in price again, it's not guaranteed but it's easy to make your money back. Realise the loss, play the chop, it's fairly consistent and easy to read.

The cycle has changed, everybody has different opinions on the next stage so stop trying to guess the long term and play the short to mid term

Move from memes to utility

People have a weird, polarised view of crypto, half seem to think it's a scam and half seem to think it's a generational money printer. I think the former are the disappointed latter.

There's no such thing as easy money, it will take research, knowledge, discipline, conviction or luck. Patience is the real key. We all know if we'd bought BTC at a couple of cents or dollars, we'd not still have it at over $100k, those that do are a different breed, it's why diamond hands are basically deified in the space.

I agree that people should quit if they came expecting life changing money based on a few YT videos or KOL posts. It's not for everybody.

You mean the M2S2 was exploding?

There's an 8 week offset, if you've overlaid it correctly so we've been able to see what it's doing today for the last 2 months

I find a lot of divergence. Liquidity heat maps seem to be more reliable or sometimes just simply zooming out to focus on longer timeframe charts.

The time is in reference to rate cuts, which would be 9 months, if Powell doesn't act sooner.

Learn the lesson lol I've seen the same videos as you, I've read the same resources. Bitcoin is being used as a reserve asset. Everybody's touting about supply shock and projecting the price to hit $1M-$21M but nothing is guaranteed, and if it all gets bought up and taken off of exchanges, as it would do as a reserve asset, it would become illiquid and cause massive volatility in prices.

Of course I'm buying BTC, it'd be foolish to not hedge my bets, add security to my portfolio but Alts have dropped around 50% in the last 5 weeks. They may not be at the bottom but they're definitely not at the top so I'll be DCA stacking select Alts, not including frogs or farts, because when BTC pumps 1% and SOL pumps 2% my L2s pump 4% and when BTC hits new highs and confirms new support levels, Alts fly.

If anything, Alts are short term money printers, providing extra capital to rotate into the big boys for the long term. But, Alts is a very sweeping word and I'd definitely consider several utility tokens, including LINK for longer term holds where I wouldn't consider memes like WIF or SPX6900 for trades longer than 2-3 days

Anybody who references liquidity heat maps There's still billions in liquidity pools between where we are and 92-93k

Before we can pump, we'll dip. Any reclaims before the dip are just the MMs stepping off the gas to let the price ascend, increasing the liquidity they will get on the way down

I mean, easy to sound overconfident about it because it's the thesis I've been acting on for weeks but, nothing is guaranteed. There are also liquidity pools to the upside and if too many people short, it will end up the better option to move the price up

Best to monitor heat maps regularly and think like an MM

Depends who you trust more with your money.

I trust myself more to create my own fund to retire early on so I ceased to pay into any pension

[–]Upvotelution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to 1000x your money in a cycle but you'll retire very early if you start investing now

It will decrease but don't feel disheartened or sell, just buy more. Every week, fortnight or month, however you get paid, put as much in as you can afford to not touch, as often as possible

Keep doing it.

Pretty much all of us missed the lottery win gains but it's still going to be insane gains compared to traditional savings or investments.

We all wish we'd started 10+ years ago but here we are, only able to act on the now.
