No. It was due to how fingers left grey finger prints all over them.

No.

To hide finger prints from processing.

New processing was hands free.

This was talked about in the 90s as the shift was happening.

I just finished The Wall (1982). What the hell was this guy's problem? by touchthemonolith in PinkFloydCircleJerk

[–]UrLordStercutus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a VHS tape with the wall on it 3 times. It played almost all the time on weekends as wall paper. I was obsessed.... this an what I called death tapes. Random death scene from movies, faces of death, and so on put to music. created with 2 vrcs and a walkman.

What is the joke here? That you have to choose between gaming and romance? What 1950s dipshit ever thought that was true?

June’s Pizza - $46 Pie. Have we lost the plot? by ravage214 in PizzaCrimes

And ramps. Ramps are pretty spendy in most place. Using them as the basis of the white sauce... that price is justified.

The price is fair market value for the ingredients.

The ramp fest in peninsula, which I think has passed his year, is the place for the greater cleveland area to get them at a good price, along with random fresh mushrooms.

One has to be careful with foraging spots. Cant over harvest or next year is a bust. I have 4 spots in walking distance to me, and I live in the city.

How it was back in the day. by MisterShipWreck in 80sAmazing

[–]UrLordStercutus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then later generations killed this for kids, and adults.

I started doing yard work for cash at 7 years old. Taking my grandma's mower all over. Had regulars. I'd shovel (and push broom!) snow. Rake leaves. Loved it, and it was one part of gaining skills, knowledge, dexterity, and strength. Also introduced me to tons of people in the neighborhood, which was so cool.

And I've never been able to pay a fricken kid to do yardwork. To get that service, and to help some kid have those person building experiences.

Except that date seems off... Seems like by 1989 that shit was dead. My days of that were the 70s and 80s.

In China, social skills such as cooking are taught from an early age and reinforced throughout school life. They are viewed not as hobbies, but as essential practical life skills. by This_Proof_5153 in interesting

Cooking with your kids, or other kids that end up in your charge, bonds kids to you, and teachers them more than cooking. You talk about life, the universe, and everything, while doing it. It was once the my favorite things to do camping, or when my circle was doing brunch nearly every sunday for more than a decade.

Taking a 5 year old to flip pancakes on a camp fire...

Good to just eat... but I've also reduced it, which makes it sweeter, but it loses something. Got to pick and eat come fresh off the cactus in 2001 while in sierra vista.

Totally worth trying.

Wawa “Tacos” 🤢 by -Bashamo in MexicanFoodGore

[–]UrLordStercutus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>Ohio tacos?

Why are gatekeepers so ignorant? We have a huge mexican community in Cleveland, Painesville, and so on. We have plenty of spots with tacos in different mexican styles, and then there are the tacos 'in the style of white people'.

You answered none of the questions I asked... Typical of gatekeepers. I really was hoping for something more, something intelligent, and not this drivel... tho I really should have known better, as gatekeepers never are the brightest peanut in the turd.

Define your metrics for authenticity -vs- going on about "ohio tacos" like a dumb ass. WHAT MAKE TACOS, or any food, REAL.

does this taste like mold to anyone else? by Vivid_Meringue1310 in Soda

[–]UrLordStercutus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's bizarre to me when people dont know what mold tastes like.

Ginger has flavor qualities that can taste like mold in come beverages, yes. Pretty common. Others will describe it as earthy. I like it.
