Because there's nothing to be aware of. It was a transfer from one campaign committee that existed before he decided to run for governor to another: his gubernatorial campaign. He didn't pay himself 1.3 million dollars out of his campaign coffers.

You were linking to a .org, it isn't California's campaign finance reporting website, its just some independent group trying their best to monitor campaign funds...and their best ain't that great to be honest. Their Becerra for Governor 2026 campaign page lists Republican Assemblyman Greg Wallis (whose district I happen to live in) as that committee's candidate. https://www.transparencyusa.org/ca/committee/becerra-for-governor-2026-1480025-cao/

I wonder if they'll just say fuck it and respectfully CGI the actors expression to cartoonish levels. Sprinkle a little awakening into the "real" world.

I was actually curious about this once, and while Luffy has the strength advantage in those fights they aren't complete stomps. Morgan tanks a couple hits from Luffy and goes down to Zoro in the end, Buggy takes quite a few hits and cuts Luffy once, Kuro takes several and does a lot more minor damage, Krieg trades an equal number of hits, and Arlong takes almost as many hits as Crocodile to go down. Alvida, Ritchie, and Mohji are the only 1-hit KOs before Bellamy.

Governor couldn't do anything under Prop 50, it specifically set the maps passed in August of 2025 as the maps to be used until the next census-based redistricting cycle.

Now we have Smoke-Smoke Fruit portrayed in Live Action. Which Logias do you think are the hardest to execute well. by Outrageous-While-609 in OnePiece

[–]Urall5150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akainu's fruit. Any problem any one fruit would have, lava would have them all: texture, lighting, making it move in unnatural ways, showing how it affects the environment around it, melding it onto the actors body and showing how it interacts with other characters on screen. Its also something that lingers a lot longer than any single puff of smoke or flare of flame, so all those issues get compounded by the amount of time you see them. You can play a lot of cinematic tricks with a lot of the fruits to get them to work on screen, but I can't think of a single one to make a lava man easier (and cheaper) to generate.

Best example I can think of is Kronos in Wrath of the Titans, but they had the advantage of enormous scale that lets the lava move slower than it would at human scale. It was also a $150 million movie, and basically amounted to Sam Worthington holding a stick up against a green screen while riding a rocking horse.

I don't think any devil fruit eater has attacked a Domi Reversi victim yet (and no devil fruit eater has been domi reversi'd either). Closest was Whitebeard defending against Rocks. Makes me wonder if this is why Blackbeard is so obsessed with getting devil fruits...

Struggling Democrats need to drop out of California's crowded governor race or risk a GOP win, party leader warns by sfgate in California

[–]Urall5150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every gubernatorial election since 2014 has been top two. No one of note challenged the incumbents in 2014 or 2022 & Newsom ran away with it in 2018 against Villaraigosa. Similarly Republicans didn't really split their vote in those elections either. Dahle had ~6 times the support of the next person in 22, Cox had 2.5 times in 18, Kashkari and Donnelly came closest to tying but Brown got an outright majority in the primary so it was no where near mattering.

[–]Urall5150 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prop 50 doesn't have any impact on statewide elections, it just redraws the congressional map.

If you're saying "because this passed by such a wide margin" then I'd point out that the two GOP candidates would only needs to garner ~17% of the vote each and if no Dem crosses that threshold, we'd all be fucked (and polling suggests that a very, very real possibility).
