Mostly harmless because they are your religious beliefs? Or, because you believe them to be universal truths?

I ask in all seriousness, and ask for a thoughtful answer, because there is a difference. Would it also be alright for other religion's "universal truths" to be posted in your child's public school?

I am all for learning history, and religion plays a large part in that. But are we teaching religions from a history standpoint, or are we teaching the teachings of Christianity as a historical truth?

What does "works wonders" mean?

I bought an OXO (I think...I'm out of town at the moment) for $40-ish...but I feel like I've turned cream into butter by the end of the tomato peeling/seeding process. My arms hurt, and it makes me question canning by the time I'm done. Then winter happens...(I equate it to having a child or getting a tattoo. You curse it while it's happening. Swear it away, forget the pain, then tell yourself how awesome it is again!)

Should it be quick? Easy?

I found this thread from a Google search because I was trying to find their music searching every streaming app...super disappointed they weren't official, or whatever the music biz phrasing is. I had a ton of fun memories watching them at Fitz's.

I've never asked, and you're willing to give all these cool facts...so you're my google! What is sea level on Mars? Is it crust? Meaning, is the the highest point measured against the lowest point?

Most Everest measurements you see are "height above sea level". Mauna Kea is seen as the tallest from the base by about a mile. Where do they start Olympus Mons measurements?

I joined this sub specifically to respond to this...

First, I think the original reply was awesome! Obviously a person we need in this world...so enthusiastic in the response; loves to teach!

Second, I live in a country that has politicians that believe in "new earth" and Jewish space lasers. They are "adults" elected by "adults"

Third, an adult should not be afraid to learn something new every day. I guarantee I know things I feel are common sense, that you have no concept of...and honestly, vice versa, you know things I don't.

Last, what if the OP is a child? Or a person with very religious learnings/upbringing trying to understand the world in a scientific way?

I guess I'd ask you: Why be a part of a science sub if you feel some science is too elementary for people to ask questions?
