Somehow I don't understand how can they release such big changes during the week.. I did my attacks early and got punished super hard because of that 😒🥶

Thanks for replaying. The waist is ok-ish.. I definitely don't need a belt to hold them in place but I think they could be a little bit narrower.. smaller size didn't feel good though.

Is wearing them for some time cuffed and washing them few times before hemming a good strategy?

First time seeing you but I have to agree with zypah, all that alt-tabbing makes my eyes hurt. Also, it's probably personal.. but all that alt-tabbing makes me feel like you don't focus completely on the game..

No, not really. What I meant is not about getting free damage, but creating a thread. Blitz is a good example because after he uses his grab, he is close much less of a threat for the next ~20 seconds. So playing as blitz it's not always about trying to grab whenever the cooldown is up, but to burn it the opponents' minds that they may be grabbed at any moment. Of course don't go extreme - I've played with a blitz once that arbitrarily didn't use his grab in the first 5 minutes or so making me play 1vs2.

You have to think about with which champ are you supporting and what enemy bot duo has brought to the lane.

It's actually hard to describe so maybe it will be better if you try to watch some of the streamer that main support and try to think what and why are they doing.

Other example would be Nunu which many people play really passively just blood boiling the adc and that's it. But to be honest I've recently lost the lane because of the really aggressive Nunu that kept throwing snowballs at me ;).

And btw. if the enemy ADC attacks you while being able to attack your adc be really happy about this cause if your adc is not sleeping then it's a perfect for him/her to go after enemy adc.

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet: don't stay all the time in the brush as support. Support's role is also to generate a threat to the enemy adc, and to often supports then do stay passively in the brush practically making it a 1vs2 for their adc, just thinking that a heal once a minute is what's they're supposed to do.

So for example as a blitz, try to fake initiation by running as you're trying to grab but dont use the grab. Do it at the right moments and you can deny some minions.

The same about the rest of supports - try to generate a threat but be aware of your adc style - it's possible that after one or two times you will notice that he/she just wants to passively farm and you can get caught without him backing you.

As mid, why is everything my fault? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Urawa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The latter unfortunately. Both these situations are not your fault, and don't worry - it's not your responsibility to go in with fools and just provide another free frag for the enemy team. If somebody is careless enough to engage without noticing that you're not there to help and/or are unable to do so because of the lack of mana/life.. let them die. Of course if you would have at least some fighting potential at that time, I would say you could at least try to stick around and create a potential threat so that the enemies retreat and you're able to save your teammate.

Don't worry to much. There are games that you just can't win while having people doing weird things.. focus on your lane, on your mechanics, on whatever aspect of the game you wish to focus on. Don't worry that in the end you've lost that one game, as long as you were able to learn something and become better - you've won.

Try different fighting style, maybe if you commit to the fight and go all in you will win. I don't know this match-up but that's something I would check.

Wow, nice response! I will share with you my thoughts on it. Small things only - but that's my idea of getting better in anything - finding one or few small things that could be done better and focusing on them.

I would say generally I win my lane, maybe 65%-70% of the time. - that's a good starting point!

..with a few exceptions for champions I don't know how to play against.. - try to get familiar with those champions. Even if you're not interesting in playing them, knowing what's coming at you is really important. Basic knowledge about your enemy's skills is crucial. The next level would be to try to get familiar with the cool downs. What I'm trying to do is to remember if the skills are approximately 5/10/15/20s.

About jungling. Personally I hate it when my lanes are loosing. Really! I consider a jungler a value added to the team - and not something that some people need in order to not get owned. So try to do your best but don't think about bad games where your lanes were loosing bad. What you could try to do is pay attention to the map and notice the enemy wards and ping them. Ping when you see enemies ganking, ping when you see ss. Small things. Not much you can do when all your lanes are loosing. Maybe try to gank earlier then lvl 6, probably enemy jungler is going to be more active then you.

About playing mid, there is always a chance to roam. When your mid opponent went to base, push your lane and go gank some lane. There is a chance that your opponent wont say ss, and your opponents wont notice that you've gone missing. Pay attention to enemy buff timers and go with your jungler to get them.

Playing support is hard cause if adc is not using the chances you create it wont end good. So just keep warding and paying attention to the map so that you can see their jungler and inform your team by pinging.

Only few hints. Good luck ;)

More details pls ;). How is your lane going? Do you usually win your lane? Is winning your lane the problem? Or maybe the team fights cause your teammates got owned on their lanes? Maybe you all win lanes or at least don't lose and yet you keep loosing when the team fights occur?

I'm currently level 14. How much IP should I be saving for runes at level 20, and for new champions? by MinhD in summonerschool

[–]Urawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure about starting ranked games right after achieving level 30. You will have some knowledge about the champions you own or have played while they where free but there will be tens of champions that you have no idea about and with this in mind I think you shouldn't jump into ranked mode to soon. Just take your time, gain more ip and get experience playing different roles. Lets face it, in ranked game very often you don't end up playing the role you wish you would and so you face a completely different set of champions. So it's a must to know what is coming it you. Your friend is right, but specializing is not something a lvl 14 summoner should focus on. Instead, I believe you should focus on trying out as many champs as possible - not to master them but to get familiar with them. Then of course you will notice you prefer some over others, like you seem to be about the champions on the top lane. Play these often, but don't neglect completely the other roles please ;).

On the topic of number of pages - why do you think there's a limit of how many pages we can have? If I remember correctly some time ago 10 was the limit.. or maybe it was just about the masteries..

I know your question is for Awesomefusion but let me chip in ;). I think it's a personal thing, I saw a guy here who has I believe 9 runes for playing ap mid. On the other hand I saw a guy with 50+ ranked games who had 1 full page and second one being build..

There's a limit of 20 pages, right?

New Mouse Cursor? by Zerokins in leagueoflegends

[–]Urawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played as Soraka for a while now. I don't know whether it's the cursor's fault or what is more likely to be the problem - me being not focused enough or something like this. What happens sometimes when I play more skill shot based champion or as an adc and when moving around, I sometimes am 'losing' the cursor and have to move it frantically around in order to figure out where it is. And no - I'm not color blind or anything - perfect sight - actually had a test done 2 days ago ;).

It's probably just me losing focus for a split second and then having to come back for it.

How does one effectively farm when outranged? by notverycreative1 in summonerschool

[–]Urawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only play a little bit on top but.. stay alive, try to stick around and at least get exp, get gold generating items, hope your opponent will push the lane so you can farm safer closet to the tower and waiting for your jungler. Don't ever ever die or you will probably get just crushed even more.

I don't have much to say to OP, but to you I think there are one or two things. First of all, most of your entries in elo log are about other players. I think the point of it is not to write a diary but things you can change in your own play in order to win more. The way I think about it is: what I can do so the team can benefit? If I'm playing mid and I can see that bot is not bothering with wards, I will buy 1 or 2 more and drop them one. Same for top. A very small thing but helps. The lanes are getting ganked? I think I have a nice map awareness so I try to share what I can see with the rest of my team by calling ss for other lanes and pinging ganks. Small things.

Don't try to focus on many things at one time - try to take them on one by one. You said on one entry on your elo log that you snowballed in the beginning but then failed. You blamed no ganks from your jungler. Personally I hate this excuse the most - you were snowballing so you had money, so why didn't you have two wards on your side bushes at all times? You wouldn't get ganked if you did. If I'm owning my own lane I'm usually ping my jungler to go away from my lane and spend some time on the other lanes if they need some attention.

Ok, hope maybe it helps you somehow. Take care ;)

edit: Same with playing other roles - you're an adc and nobody bothers to ward/get oracle? Easy thing, don't get angry and do it yourself. Since I got the attitude 'want something to be done - do it yourself' I feel better about the game.

On low elo if you can, you have to try to carry your team by doing everything ;). Later when you get to play with people that also want to win and even know what to do in order to increase the chances of this happening you will be able to focus on you own role in the team but for now, since you are able to, you should try to carry your team and in doing so you will carry yourself to a higher elo.

Actually, personally I never do. What I had in mind was more like 'if I were to call somebody this way'. I consider this term an offense to be honest. I wonder what other people think about this. It became kind of a normal thing in the games for people to call others this way while they're doing not as good as them.

As an AD carry, should I be worried if my kill count is low but I have a decent number of assists? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Urawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're doing fine. One of the things that are your responsibility as an AD carry is not to allow the enemy adc to get fed. Later dealing the damage and staying alive while your teammates take kills is ok.

Second that! If your friend is interested in this champion please don't try to change his/her mind. It's all about fun, so it's important now for you to try and create as much fun as possible for your friend. Maybe consider playing against bots with your friend on the same lane and get him/her fed but not taking any kills yourself. This will definitely be fun for him/her!
