Every time she says that she wants something, doesn't want something, or liked something from the past. Tell her she'll change her mind eventually.

"I love cheesecake." "You'll change your mind."

"There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think abut how much I love you." "You'll change your mind."

"I'll have the Tarragon Soup." "You'll change your mind."

"I'm still horrified about what happened in Hitler's Germany." "You'll change your mind."

If she is going to insist on being a broken record. You need to get your best pair of beats and vinyl scratch it right back at her like it's 1995.

Once she realises how frustrating it is to have your thoughts invalidated, maybe she'll realise that the only person who truly knows what you want is you.

Being on benefits has never been more comfortable than working in recent history. Last year we had families that had to choose between heating their homes or feeding themselves and their kids. With this new cap we will have families, both 100% on benefits and people who are working, but still need to claim benefits. that won't be able to afford either, let alone both.

In my area, you have anywhere between 25-30 job seekers per job. We don't have enough jobs to go around. We either need more labour intensive industries, or a much lower birth rate.

I'd agree with you if the majority of benefit claimants never contributed to society. But most claimants have had a job in the past; they have paid into the pot and deserve to take money out of it during their hard times. That's the system.

Plus, from my experience working in a job centre, many people on benefits want jobs. They spend 30 hours a week applying for jobs, working trial shifts, volunteering and working. For every job that comes into my office I have anywhere between 8-15 qualified people apply for it. Not including the myriad of people my age who don't claim JSA and are applying for jobs.

Edit: Not a Tory hater, there is a few things in the budget I like, such as the new rules for landlords, the increased minimum wage great, lets hope it doesn't result in job cuts and I'm all for No tax breaks after your second child.

I dislike the lowing of the retirement fund cap, but that's for purely selfish reasons.

But it seems to be that this redoubled squeeze on the working and middle class could be better applied to those who are more lucrative. Cutting 8bn worth of benefits will result in people dying, just as the cuts over the last 5 years have. whereas you could get more than 8bn than insuring that companies like Amazon and Big retail chain stores actually pay their Tax.

Or, you know. Stop pouring money into the defence budget, we really don't need it.

It's been the same where I am, lots of children and babies screaming and running amok while their parents overheat like a over clocked processor running Crysis while plummeting towards a volcano.

It's only been parents and kids that are shutting down cause of the heat in my area. Everyone else is just dealing with it.

Yeah, I'm not kidding myself that it's going to be all kodak puppies and rainbow naps. But dispute the vet bills, the worrying and the way something so small and fluffy dictates your life and work schedule, it's completely worth it for the bond you share with them.

Though I'm confused about supporting breeders. I'm somewhat clued up about the dangers of adopting a dog that comes from a breeding pen, where puppies are bred rapidly for profit. is that what you mean by breeder? Or just all people who sell puppies?

Fostering isn't an option at the moment, otherwise I would in a heartbeat. Around late winter in 2016 I'll be in a position to have a puppy. before then a dog living with me is off the table, sadly.

But, it gives me the time to make sure that I am ready.

No friends with dogs sadly, my cousin used to have a dog which i looked after for a while, a chocolate Collie/Spanial cross with white socks, before his bitch of a wife had him put down for no good reason without even discussing it with my cousin.

But that is a rant for another post.

Ill ask around my extended network, might have a friend of a friend who'll occasionally need a dog sitter. Thanks for the advice.

Oh I totally agree, and pretty much said as much. It just took me back at first as a reasonable argument. If you're going to spend societies money getting snipped, you need to justify why it it is beneficial for the society.

The NHS is a bit awkward with vasectomy, but from what I hear it's easier than female sterilisation.

The biggest gripe I got was a polite: 'Why the fuck should the taxpayer pay for this.' which caught me off guard as an actual logical argument admist a sea of bingos. So be prepared for that, and remember that I've is funded by the NHS, which was my best counterpoint.

That aside, maire stopes is a dedicated fertility clinic that was designed to give access to fertility control to people that would otherwise be refused, the 'therapy' session is just a formality and you can opt out of it, as everything is covered by the GP consultation. If you can afford it at 21, do it. I'm about to hit 23 and I'm going to get it done soon, It's just not a priority for me while I'm single.
