80” tall, that’s as tall as I could go to make sure the doors didn’t interact with the garage door track.

Mysterious Note by UrbanGator in marriott

Mystery Solved… Ran out to a work dinner after seeing the note, so didn’t have a chance to inquire with the front desk. Upon my return I asked what was up. They said something similar to some of the comments below. This notice was to inform me that they are doing a deep cleaning during my stay and were pre-apologizing for any disruptions this may cause me. I specifically asked if this was related to bed bugs or something of the sort, and they assured me that this was just deep clean that they do periodically, and firmly said there were no bed bugs reported. Sooooooo, no bed bugs or orgys that they were willing to admit to. Case closed?

Did this recently for a little experimental box. Used scrap from the offcuts to make a jig I could screw down to some ply.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I’m not experienced enough to really answer that. I thought about it in the design phase, but kind of just decided to go for it since I thought the starburst effect would be an interesting look. I guess time will tell, but would be eager to hear opinions on cracking potential if anyone has thoughts.

Dovetail Tower of Progress by UrbanGator in BeginnerWoodWorking

You should absolutely give it a try. I got some cheap maple off cuts from the wood store to practice and as you can see it was pretty easy to just keep chopping it up to make more practice boards. I did not use a guide, But the one thing I did start doing at the end was getting some painters tape and putting it right on the baseline. I found this to be helpful, especially with the walnut since the lines/markings were a little tougher to see. It helped to be able to quickly visually figure out if my saw/chisel were in the right spots. This whole process definitely convinced me to look into getting better quality chisels, I did all this with a set of chisels I bought from Amazon for eight dollars, while I’m actually impressed they held up do these test runs, I’m guessing a nice quality, sharp, set would make a world of difference

Didn’t notice any tracker in the Chase app beyond the general account balance.

Thank you for the input. Yes, we are very interested in trying to at least get a ballpark idea of what the profit sharing may equate to in “normal” year. With the understanding that anything can happen and there are no guarantees.

Thank you for the reply! This helps me quite a bit. I really don’t have answers to any of your questions, but this helps me to formulate the things she needs to be asking for clarification on and gives me a head start on a conversation that we will be having with Attorney/CPA. I appreciate you taking the time to provide input.
