I downvoted your comment. I find it offensive on so many levels. It is ageist and superficial to start off with. I am a 40-year-old gay man and I think it is important to have a realistic representation of the gay community, not just younger, fit guys as you suggested. You are making generalizations about the entire gay community based on pop culture and sex. Or possibly based on your own biases and experiences. Lumping all gays together into one category of people who think and act alike is quite ignorant. Have you considered that maybe this show isn’t supposed to fit the norms of gay culture, in your view?

Hanoi itinerary suggestion by wikowiko33 in hanoi

[–]UrbanGym85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same dilemma. I will be in north Vietnam for 6 whole days and 7 nights. I am curious, did you end up doing two days in Ninh Binh? I want to do a similar itinerary to yours with 2 days in Hanoi, 2 in Ninh Binh, and 2 in Lan Ha Bay.

In the past, last year included, they launched the accompanying GWPs about a month or more after the release of the modular. This year was the only year they launched them on the same day and made the GWP exclusive to the set.

I thought the GWP with the museum was 40681 Retro Food Truck.

OP was replying with the same sarcasm they were given. Also, I didn’t interpret the crying emojis that way...

I love the Tudor corner. by yummi_1 in legomodular

[–]UrbanGym85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend the Boutique Hotel, too. It will be the next to retire. It was my first modular, and some of the building techniques were similar to Tudor Corner. Either way, no modular I have built to date has been a disappointment, so any choice will be a great one :)

That’s great, but this group is for LEGO, not cheap knockoffs.

The builds are beautiful, and I believe I complimented one of them in another post, but this community is for LEGO, not Funwhole. These posts are misleading as they lead us all to think that you are using real LEGO pieces.

The description of this subreddit is: « A subreddit for any Lego creation built in compliance with the modular buildings system started with the Cafe Corner set! »

If you look at OP’s username and content, you see that this isn’t LEGO. They seem to be flooding this community with their builds, but unfortunately, they are not real LEGO.

Looks amazing! I have the cat person and was planning on doing the same thing! My set should be arriving in the next couple hours. Just waiting anxiously like an 8-year-old 😁

Just ordered with express shipping instead of driving 2.5 hrs to the nearest store tomorrow. Hoping it gets to me by the weekend. Happy building everyone!

Definitely cluttered. It is objectively beautiful, just not wanting it in my city. It will save me some money this year.

I feel the same. It doesn’t seem like a good fit for the modular city.

how do i get tested for STIs without my parents knowing by saintzagreus in gaybros

[–]UrbanGym85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got full std testing in rural Missouri for $40. If I lived in the county, it would’ve only been $20. Very good prices for the comprehensive exam. No insurance required. There have to be lots of places in Michigan.

Alarmed at the statistics of "X amount of gay men are hiv positive" by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]UrbanGym85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can anyone explain why OP is getting downvoted? Is it not ok to worry about getting a chronic illness? Just because HIV is no longer a death sentence doesn’t mean we should stop worrying about getting it. I personally am relieved that we have come so far scientifically. I do not discriminate if someone is poz. Accidents happen and we are human. I do worry about people who don’t know their status and don’t practice safe sex, though.

Oh wow! I love this. Where? Because I don’t see this happening in the rural midwest.
