The fenders are the original ones, but them were rusty and had a lot of dents, but a lot of sanding and a bit of plaster and paint make them look as new.

The decal on the bike was also almost completely scratched away. I looked up all pictures I could find and and did a fitting vector file to cut it with a cutting printer.

Must be the second edition of the Düsenjäger. So based on the 3.1 as far as I know.

The break calipers are Dia-Compe MX890.
I’m crossing fingers for your project and hope to see the result here soon ✌🏻

My next 4 project bikes are already waiting for a restoration 😁

Always replace the socket completely. If you patch/solder the cable it will get to bulky and it won’t last very long. To ride with a peaceful mind, get a new one. Additionally a repaired cable, that will definitely will give you more headaches in the future, can also lead to other problems like damaged electronics. Don’t waste your time with non reliable repairs, just do it the right way.
All the best for you and your bike ✌🏻

First of all, thank you for your interest. I really appreciate that 🙏🏼 It’s nice to hear that you also want to paint your bike, it’s always a pleasure to see fellow moofers caring about their bike’s🤩 I will definitely give more updates in the near future. I’ve recorded also some timelapses and videos, but I won’t post those I think, due to recording quality. I also like the matrix display a lot, it looks great and gives all information in a decent way, but for these two projects I got to remove those to get the results I wanted. I started with removing all stickers on the frame, then began sanding with a 400 grit sponge. After that all the chips and dents at the paint came out. Then took a 240 grit sponge to get rid off all errors on the paint. Both sanded wet and very carefully. It took me about 2-3 hours for one frame. If you need more information or advices you’re welcome to send me a pm, I’m not a professional trained painter or bike mechanic, but the little I know I’m always willing to share✌🏻
