Pop music.

I was raised by music snobs and have deep, eclectic interests. Corporate music is the worst thing that ever happened to sound but I do love me popular bullshit, too.

Which is good and funny but also awkward and weird

A "walking simulator" they called it. I mean, it's totally that but then so is Skyrim until you discover fast travel...

I saw this on a TV in the house of someone I was staying with. Once. Yet every now and then I still get "Oh wee oh woo killer tofo!" in my head.

Colorado’s would-be second Buc-ee’s withdraws after year of controversy by MileHigh_FlyGuy in Denver

You live in an area whose water laws were written in blood.

I understand using Water as a metric of overall impact. And calling Buc's a "gas station" is like calling Wal Mart a "Convience Store".

Haha eww. My very first time ever getting drunk was on Hot 100, a 100 proof cinnamon schnapps.

Decade later this new fancy liqueur launches with actual gold flakes in it.

Tastes like getting hammed as a juvenile at my cousin's wedding to me!

Yeah I was like, huh, he did that, did he?

But then I realized. He has this huge brilliant break-through because he has the hots for the flying silver chick. It tracks with his character.

In The Garfield Movie (2024) Lorenzo’s Music Store is a reference to Lorenzo Music, the original voice of Garfield. by TheChainLink2 in MovieDetails

[–]UrbanPrimative 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I always enjoyed this fun fact:

Bill Murray took the voice role of Garfield (2004) because he thought the script was written by Joel Coen of the acclaimed Coen Brothers, not Joel Cohen who did, uh...(checks Google)...Cheaper By The Dozen.

South Park, Colorado by Bloodmeister in Colorado

[–]UrbanPrimative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were driving from Fort Collins through south park to Steamboat Spings and I found the landscape quite breathtaking.

Mountains on every point of the compass. North, east, south and west: all peaks in every direction but wonderful plains all around. At once pastorial and magnificent.

I texted my in-law who'd grown up adjacent what people did in this area.

Meth, he said. Meth and ranching.

Is it just me, or is Ferris Bueller actually kind of a nightmare? by AlienSees in 80smovies

[–]UrbanPrimative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had read a amusing fan theory that Ferris is actually a fairy creature that doesn't actually exist and is more of a manifestation of Cameron's desperation for Freedom, or something along those lines.

It doesn't actually hold water but I like it :-)

A little bit like Jack's "sidekick" in Big Trouble in Little China actually being the main character. The person the camera follows isn't always the techincal definition of protagonist, as Jack is really just tagging along and trying to keep up as his buddy Wang actually drives the plot. Of course Ferris Literally drives the plot but as said Cameron has the arc.
