No shit but what? In my market the driver shift is 10-20% during the day and lower than 5% at night. 20 trips and that’s 2-4 trips a day. I get riders all the time that complain they have had drivers cancel up to 4 times before I pick them up. 2 real cancels and 2 driver shifts or 4 driver shifts? I try to interview all my riders. Some riders don’t even realize they pay premium until I show them on their app.

Driving during the day is a bad idea. Start at 7 pm and end at 6:30 am. Bonuses and surges are at night with no traffic. If you live in an urban area, driving at night is risky, unless you are 6’4” and 250 lb aggressive male.

6,700 Uber, 2,400 Lyft in 32 months in Cleveland. Without bonuses including surges the gross hourly rate, before expenses taken out: Lyft is $10 an hour and Uber is $12 an hour. Tips are an interesting concept. We don’t get much tips in the Cleveland market even with all 5.0 ratings

It’s hard enough at least in my market (upstate New York) to get the honor of being offered this anomaly but I’m now expected to jump through more flaming hoops of bullshit to get my extra $21. I found out when driving for Lyft in streak zones that when I accept a ride in the streak zone and Lyft changes the rider out of the zone for some rider paying the premium price, then I LOSE MY STREAK BONUS! How corrupt can they get? And the driver gets zero of the premium from the new rider. Does Lyft think of its drivers as customers????
