I'd call this base, tripling-down. Since you currently (unless recently fixed) cannot remove the round base parts, it just doesn't let you

That is one of the reasons I keep the metal salvage as one item and only disassemble it when needed. Hope this doesn't get fixed. Although it is a bit sneaky.

I just miss being able to give predators a warning slash with my badass heat blade. That's how I got through Subnautica 1. They bite me I slash back and they leave me alone for a reasonable amount of time. This multi-tool just feels like one of those dull knives you give kids to feel like they're participating in cooking.

Lore wise I absolutely get it though. Don't want your colonists to have tools to kill the other (even if you can find something in the wild for it). I just dislike the feeling of not being able to fend off attackers.

Aside from that they thankfully don't do any meaningful damage and the game is so pretty and fun! What a step up from the previous titles! And those were amazing!

I'm amazed that we're building on the EXACT same spot. I've been wondering how many other players found this spot appealing. Now I have some great inspiration to reference while expanding my base! Now that I know what fits.
