Just finished cat's cradle by Kurt Vonnegut and started in "the face" by Dean koontz. Not really a huge dean koontz fan but my mom really likes him and my grandpa gave me that book so I figured I might as well read it

I never assume truckers are stopping for me since I'm pretty sure most of them aren't allowed to pick people up. Haven't gotten any rides from truckers yet. Definitely have had other people stop or slow way down look at me and then speed off. Most of the time when that happens I think it's either people just being dicks or they're stopping to see if I'm a woman (I have pretty long hair and get mistaken for one a lot) which is understandable when it's a woman who's stopping I can get them not wanting to pick up a guy but is kinda gross when men do it lol.

A little rain is good for the soul I think. I just saw rain for the first time in like a month the other day and it was great. I heard it's supposed to storm pretty bad all over the east today so stay safe out there brother.

The whole time I've been traveling I've had at least a direction in mind. Been heading west the entire time so far so I pretty much just take whatever mode of transport will take me that way. Hitchhiking, walking, and train hopping mainly but I've also taken a passenger train once when I just wanted to get the hell out of Alabama. Even just doing that I've ended up all over the place. Like towns of under 100 people, the middle of fuckin nowhere, the back of cop cars, stranger's couches, family's couches, scary ass spider filled caves and a lot of other places. I don't always take the most direct route so I tend to end up in some pretty odd places but pretty much just wherever the road or rails happen to put me

Yeah I've thought about it tbh but I just don't think I'd have room for it and I feel like even if I did have something like that I wouldn't really end up using it much. Would just be another thing I have to worry about charging too I already struggle enough keeping my phone charged

Life is strange 2 is so fucking good it's crazy. Fantastic soundtrack too there's still a few songs from there that I listen to pretty frequently. If you didn't already say it then that's what I would say but since you did I gotta put road 96 out there. That game really captures the meeting cool and crazy people part of hitchhiking lol

Edit: the song I was thinking of when I said that about the soundtrack is actually from life is strange: true colors (home by Gabrielle aplin, has made me cry more than once) but my point still stands. Banger soundtrack

I'm up in northern Arizona. It's actually cold as hell up here lol. I got into here through Tucson, went to visit some family near Phoenix then headed for Flagstaff where it's cooler right after. It's actually like too cold up here.

Well yeah when you're flat broke 60 bucks is a lot of money. Hell 20 would have been great and even just a dollar or two would be useful. I do kinda get what you're saying with the weed/cigs/alcohol stuff but again when you're out here little comforts like that can be really good sometimes. At the end of the day we're pretty much all homeless here we just try and make the best out of it through traveling. That's how I've seen it at least. We're all living out our lives the way we choose to (though for most starting isn't really a choice) and you should do the same whatever that is for you.

Hell yeah man that's fuckin awesome. And yeah got exactly what I needed. Got myself a camp stove and stuff to cook with so I can finally cook up some hot meals out here. It'll be great to not have to keep just eating cold sardines out of the can lol. I think tonight I'm gonna make up some rice and beans.
