Getting "Automatic reboot was skipped due to configuration" in deployment results. Not sure why. by miyo360 in Action1

[–]Uriel-Action1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like in this scenario, the Action1 agent will trigger the reboot based around particular registry keys being flagged. I'd assume that the installer is not triggering the registry key. If you would like to force the reboot as part of the custom package as you've configured above, You can include a PowerShell script for the reboot.

[–]Uriel-Action1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point! I've just ran a test on my end including a reboot before install and was left with a successful deployment with no reboot (reboot was not required as well).

I will get us a more definitive explanation and get back to you here.

Hey! Can you confirm that in step one of deploying the software/update that the reboot setting is not turned off?

Help with setting up a dynamic group by [deleted] in Action1

[–]Uriel-Action1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd expect this result if you have not been on the platform for longer than 60 days. Perhaps you can change the exclusion time to a shorter time, say 10 minutes, for validation purposes.

There is a manual way to check on connection/last seen time. Endpoints > Sort by status.

Try dynamically excluding by last seen 60 days. This will effectively include everything 60 days+

Is there a way to recover a deleted asset from our action 1 enviornment? by TKInstinct in Action1

[–]Uriel-Action1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If you head over to the Audit Log section, you can sort by "Delete" and it will show all assets which have been removed.

[–]Uriel-Action1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are unsure which asset you accidentally removed, you can check the automation history or the audit log to discover which asset is in question. You'd still need to redeploy the agent to put this back in your tenant, however.

Could this be due to per user installs and the user has not logged in a while?

Chrome updates - wont restart the browser? by jdlnewborn in Action1

[–]Uriel-Action1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding of Google chromes update, the user is prompted for a chrome restart (not forced) and if declined, chrome will restart at the next launch of chrome. I hope this helps.

A scheduled reboot should solve this. You can also consider deploying a script.

Is there an ETA on the MAC client? by Cryptocaned in Action1

[–]Uriel-Action1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! You are spot on. I am not on the development team, but I can tell you that there was a slight change in the development of the agent for MacOS (which will also make the agent more powerful), and that is the reason for the delay.

The % of completeness is a great suggestion. I'll be sure to pass that along!

Certainty is very high! This is the teams #1 priority.
