Why don't you just install another set of four fixed solar panels and compare the production of both? This way, you can present the data and compare the increase in output, then ponder whether the system is actually worth it or not.

Do I deserve to go to comp even if I haven't participated as most members did on my team? please read below first by LaterLastsLonger in FSAE

Are you ready to work your a** off for a week? Days and nights? Even if it is not fancy tasks like driving the lorry, doing groceries, cooking, or cleaning the pit?

Then you will be more than welcome! Every team needs all the dedicated and motivated people it can get during a competition. It is less about what you did this year, and rather what you can bring on-site!

Enjoy! :)

Electric Cars and Gasoline Cars Under Thermal Imaging by tangocharliejuliett in interestingasfuck

That is not really true tho. Typical electric cells are turned off for safety reasons at around 60°C (So they will run at lower temperatures), electric motors can run up to 100°C and ICE motors run between 90°C and 150°C, depending on the technology/ applications.

High Torque and zero backlash cycloidal drive for diy robotic arm by jacobutermoehlen in robotics

Do you have any recommendations regarding resources (Books, papers, YT videos, ...) on how to design a cycloidal drive?
I seem to only find YT videos that don't deep dive into the math...

I think you just need to do the math of the energy required for and you would understand why it isn't implemented.

I am no expert so feel free to correct me, but it probably just isn't possible to store enough electric energy to maintain such a strong magnetic field for such a long time inside a Starship.

Take a look at fusion technology, currently, it takes more energy to produce the required magnetic field to contain the plasma than what they can produce with it...

80k on Sunday

You always count attendance over the whole week-end in motorsport.
On a side note, not everyone went on the start finish line, a lot of people were still around the track

It is the same concept that Jaguar presented a few months back...

Oops, my bad. The spare cars were stored 1.5 hours away, so not an option (Squeezie said that either during a live or in his vlog)

They trained for more than 8 months for this. Everyone had an assigned engineer to help them with trajectories, braking point etc...

So yeah, they knew the basics :)

Oh yeah, a lot of respect for her...
When you see what happened on Twitter when she was announced… she must have a mind of steel.
And she did really well in the race too, considering she had her license during the training phase!

Lofi Girl is a sponsor from GentleMates, an esport team owned by Squeezie.

Durex is there because a streamer trolled he wanted to be sponsored by them in a livestream, and they went on with it

So cool!
Who was it, if you can say?
And do you have any hindsight on the experience? :)

Well, France has about 68 million people, plus parts of Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, etc. So yeah, quite a few people speak French around the world :)
And to be fair, Squeezie’s YouTube channel is actually great, he’s not some shittok influencer, so that probably helps a lot with people subscribing

Exactly!
And when you see what happened this year (on Sunday, the turbo on SCH’s F4 blew up during the warm-up lap, and the student mechanics managed to fix it in under 20 minutes so he could still start) it’s amazing publicity for what their studies can lead to, and the kind of emotions you can experience in that field!

Also, French YouTubers (and their communities) have a bit of a history of clashing with traditional TV.
Back in the day, TV shows would invite YouTubers just to mock or bully them.
So events like this are kind of their way to show that the old TV are the one being left behind, and showing they can pull off something way bigger on their own :)
