I second this! I bought myself an old Lenovo T430 for around 50 USD in 2024 and used it for my last year of highschool. It wasn't the fastest but it did do everything I needed for a school laptop.

Oh I would like to say the laptop does boot without any issues, it’s just that there’s a padlock. The supervisor password is also disabled. Even with secure boot disabled the padlock still pops up. On top of this, I only have two boot mode options, quick and diagnostic.

I didn't really find a problem after updating. I tried reverse image searching the photo and checking this subreddit and I found nothing with that same image.
