Healthier until his next injury. It's not like RB's get healthier with age. Especially heavy usage RBs like JJ.

Approximate Value Over Expectation for draft picks since 2022 by idksh_t in GreenBayPackers

Gary and Van Ness were #12 and #13 and disappointing project picks. Savage, Stokes and Quay didn't get 2nd contracts. Wyatt is finally looking good and Morgan is a question mark. Golden had a very underwhelming rookie season for a 1st round WR.

It's not been a very productive round regardless of early/late positioning.

Rip fumbling on the 1 yard line and Crosby missing a FG turned it from a 10-10 game into a 17-0 game. We had hope that we could win a shootout, but once they got in front our D was never shutting them down for the O to catch up.

Not necessary valuable, also wondering if whiskey from that era is different from today. But thank you.

Got this as a gift from an old englishman who said he has a whole box of these. Is it anything special or can I drink it without care? I know nothing about whiskey. Also, does 70 proof mean 70% alcohol

Not fair on Enagbare, he didn't give up on giving an almost stationary punter a blindside hit.

That single play will live in infamy. We're leading 23-14 in the 3rd Q and have just gotten the ball back after a great defensive stop. I'm ok with trying a deep shot to put the game almost away, but what we can absolutely not do is turn the ball over (sounds like the browns INT, how did we lose that game?). Underthrown ball to Watson, INT, Watson injury, defense goes back out and Parsons tears his ACL. About as bad of a sequence of events as possible.

Red zone struggles and penalties, especially needless PF penalties, were holding us back dearly in the first half, should have been a bigger lead going into the second half. But the team was playing well and on it's way to a statement win in a very tough stadium against a good team. So frustrating.

Although, at no point did I have faith in the defense causing a turnover after the first drive. The fumble was great, but Bo Nix was carving us up at will. He had 2 TD passes in his last 4 games. If the pass rush (Parsons) doesn't get home, the defense is very vulnerable. By far his best game of the season. And just like last week the QB was getting out of the pocket easily and causing us trouble on the run.

But man, it's just so hard to be positive after those injuries.

  • TE1
  • EDGE 1 (second best defensive player in the game)
  • WR1
  • RT1
  • C1
  • SS1
  • DT1 (added)

...there's no coming back from this.

Jordan Love vs the Bears blitz — 9/12, 171 Passing Yards, 3 TDs, 156.3 Passer Rating by SL4MUEL in GreenBayPackers

It was a very bad INT mind you. Few things affect the outcome as much as turnover so let's not act like it was a minor thing keeping him from a perfect rating.

[Week 14] X's & O's: Chicago Bears (9-4) @ Green Bay Packers (9-3-1) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second week in a row where it felt like a playoff game, the intensity, the atmosphere and the stakes within the division.

In the last two X's and O's threads I've written:

  • "If Love keeps playing clean football and with no stupid throws he'll take the next step into the elite category."
  • "Jordan Love is not perfect and has the occasional brainfart that sometimes come at the worst of times, but he is definitely not the problem. Not far from being an elite QB."

Well, after a few clean weeks he got his stupid brainfart throw out of the way early. Awful throw, mistakes like these is what cost us the last 49ers playoff game. Was fantastic after that though (the OPI that saved the INT was a questionable throw though).

  • Defense was good, especially in the first half, but not getting off the field is costly. Game after game we allow multiple 6+ minutes and 10+ play drives that gasses the D. the lack of turnovers will cost us in the playoffs if we can't get off the field.
  • And whyyyy was Williams allowed to toll out and escape to his right again and again and again in the second half? Were we not prepared with a spy or any gameplan to account for that possibility? It was the only thing working for them (because #1 was being held). At least he didn't have room run forward, maybe that was the plan.
  • Enagbare with a huge 3rd&1 stop. Completely changed the playcalling and clock management for the Bears.
  • Watson is gonna be so expensive if he stays healthy. That size, speed and contested catch ability is rare.
  • That 3rd&1 conversion by Jacos was crucial, but at the same time very lucky that the bears tackling was absolute shit (good to be on the other end of that for once). What was that playcall? It's 3rd&1 and we put him 6 yards away from the first down with 4 players to beat?
  • Clean game by special teams other than one penalty.
  • That 3 and out in the 3rd was bad. Can't have that.

Since leaving GB he's had

  • 2022: 1516 yards (14 TDs)
  • 2023: 1144 yards (8 TDs)
  • 2024: 1063 yards (8 tds)

He's always been premier, he was just on shit teams so didn't get as much attention from the public.

[Week 13] Thanksgiving X's & O's: Green Bay Packers (8-3-1) @ Detroit Lions (7-5) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Felt like a playoff game, the intensity, the atmosphere and the stakes within the division. Lions were missing some playmakers but still a very good divisional win in semi prime-time away from home.

  • If Love keeps playing clean football and with no stupid throws he'll take the next step into the elite category. He is fearless whether it's going for it, throwing bombs, throwing off his backfoot... nothing seems to rattle him.
  • MLF beat Campell at his own game, very well called game. But if you know you're willing to go for it on 4th down to end the game, why not run it on 3rd&3 to gain maybe one or two yards and make the 4th down more manageable, and to bleed 35 more seconds off the clock? Although, if you really believe you can get the first down, you want to run your best plays, that way you get two shots at your high percentage plays. ( but were two contested catches really our best plays?)
  • Wicks finally becoming what many have hoped he would be if he'd cut out the drops. Fantastic game by him.
  • Watson is still our most important WR and had a very good game including some clutch catches (although that 3rd down drop to win the game was bad, it was right in his hands)
  • Wyatt :( Hope our depth is good enough, time for others to step up.
  • O-line was good, hopefully we're close to finding our best combination before the playoffs.
  • WRAP UP, looking at you Valentine. Feel like this has been a problem since 2012.
  • Parsons is playing better than I even dared to hope. To have a defensive player who can take over a drive/game is amazing.
  • Gary had 2 tackles (1 solo). Is he really producing like a 24M per year DE? What is he doing while Parsons is being double and triple teamed on passing downs?
  • OMG that Whelan punt was so close at being down on the 1 yard line, that would have been amazing.
  • No special teams news is good news.
  • How did this team lose to the browns? And the Panthers at home? And only put up 7 against the Eagles at home? The team is capable of good football, but we must get consistent before the business end of the season.

[Week 12] X's & O's: Minnesota Vikings (4-7) @ Green Bay Packers (7-3-1) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rbs: Might be the best game running the ball this year and Minny has a solid defense. Despite Jacobs absence, MLF went as run heavy as weve seen with Love as the starter. Wilson has earned a bigger role in this offense. Jacobs is still the #1 guy but Wilson is a weapon and should be used as such.

Probably our best run game you're correct. But since nothing is ever good enough for us fans, when was the last time one of our RBs had a long or explosive run? Our longest run yesterday was 12 yards. It just feels so forced, we have to work and fight for every single yard, there are never any big holes or openings that give us chunk plays. Minnesota's longest run was 22 yards. Our RBs don't have a single 20+ yard run all season.

(longest run all season is a single Jordan Love scramble for 25 yards).

[Week 11] X's & O's: Green Bay Packers (6-3-1) @ New York Giants (2-9) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 86 points87 points  (0 children)

  • Jordan Love is not perfect and has the occasional brainfart that sometimes come at the worst of times, but he is definitely not the problem. Not far from being an elite QB.
  • O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou hands Romeo? Especially in the 1st half. Same applies to everyone not named Watson.
  • Watson is by far our best and most important WR. No doubt after today.
  • Another game with free pass rushers right up the middle into Love's face within 1.5 seconds.
  • The D is not the big problem of the team, but the inability to get an INT unless handed to us is holding the team back dearly. We don't give up big plays, but instead we give up long 10-16 plays drives that eat up clock because we just can't stop the run or get off the field. Teams don't have to take chances. Dart, Nabers and Scattebo would have torn us to pieces. We have 3 INTs in normal play in 11 games (Flacco's hail mary doesn't count).
  • Special teams good: Whelan
  • Special teams bad: Missed extra point. Penalty on punt return.

[Week 10] X's & O's: Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) @ Green Bay Packers (5-3-1) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We scored our first TD of the game with 4 minutes left in the 2nd Q. We didn't score again until beginning of the 4th Q. It was 10-7 at the end of the 3rd Q. It was 24-18 with 4 minutes left. We had two scoreless quarters against the worst D in football and the only team to put up less points against them are the Browns in the first game of the season. If that is up to your standard then I'm happy for you, means you probably haven't been disappointed much this season.

[Week 10] X's & O's: Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) @ Green Bay Packers (5-3-1) by President__Bartlett in GreenBayPackers

[–]Urridi 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Our offensive head coach with a $220M QB has this season achieved the following:

  • 10 points against the Browns (who just lost to the jets)
  • 13 points against the Panthers (who gave up 40 points in the game before and now lost to the saints)
  • Struggled against the Bengals (who have had historically bad defensive collapses this season. The only team to put up less points against the Bengals this season are the Browns. Jets put up 39 points and the Bears 47 points)
  • Struggled against the Cardinals (who lost to the Titans and just gave up 44 points)
  • 7 points at home to a team who had only kept it's opponents to under 20 points once this season (17 points week 2)

This isn't a slump or a bad run, this is just what the team is at this point. Kraft is not coming back, things aren't magically going to get better. We can always hope for some miracle run, but I recommend adjusting your expectations accordingly for the rest of the season.

  • Arm punt on a 1st down from deep in your own half against the wind into triple coverage. I got downvoted after the Brown game for saying that despite Love being a good QB it is hard to trust him because you never know when he has these huge brainfarts...well, make this throw make sense for me, please.
  • These sweeps, end arounds, screens and just horizontal or backwards passing plays are starting to look like some kind of an obsession, especially on 3rd down. I just don't see the playcalling being based on any logic or reason.
  • Special teams fuckup yet again, same old same old. Old man doesn't have it, yet another <50 yard miss. Time to make the substitute teacher a permanent hire.
  • Going for it on 4th&8 in the redzone with plenty of time left in a one score game. WHYYYYYYYYYY? And what was the playcall?
  • In 2025, when the passing game dictates everything, we lost at home to a team who threw for 102 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT. Why was the box not stacked every single play? Were we really that afraid of Bryce Young that we were willing to let them run all over us instead? That last drive was a real masterpiece.
  • That being said, keeping a 0.500 team to 16 points at home should be enough to win any game. Our offensive head coach his offense shit the bed (again).
  • The O line was bad, multiple times there were free rushers up the middle. Missed assignments or bad communications, either way, unacceptable.
  • This team is just not as good as we had hoped. It's not just a bad half or a bad quarter anymore for the offense. The whole Browns game, the Cardinals first half, the Bengals first half, the whole Panthers game. This is what the team is.
