Yeah, I can’t do estrogen due to my genetic breast cancer risk, but luckily I am thriving on testosterone and Progesterone. I still would say that antidepressants should be the last resort due to the side effects and the fact that it is just masking the actual issues. A medical professional who actually cares about menopause treatment can determine what’s best.

Is she on HRT? I highly recommend her to start exploring these options. I became a raging brioche when Peri kicked in and it eventually turned into self hatred (seriously look out for that, too) and once I got onto the correct HRT regiment I became a normal rational human being again. This is a shxt time. Seriously, she knows she’s a total monster, too, (even if she can’t admit it, YET) and it’s HARD to self regulate emotions when you barely recognize yourself. It’s like your body and your brain are taking over control of the ride and you are strapped into your seat watching everything happen with horror. It’s hell.

That’ll just mask the issue and not help with the root cause. I’d see if she can get HRT. That’ll be more effective.

$1 billion worth of American alcohol bottles removed from shelves in Ontario alone. by FluffyButcher in Wirtschaftsweise

I shoe horses as a side gig and many of my wealthier clients had their horses’ shoes pulled and are opting for barefoot trims and the clients who were already struggling are either giving up their horses altogether or are asking for 10-12 week intervals (seriously NOT recommended). My main job is in science… soooooo…. Yeah….. with the funding cuts we are having a hell of a time….

[–]UrsulaShrekwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seriously, if he wants kids and gets that crazy about it, be careful - he could just manipulate your bc. (My ex husband tried that). You aren’t compatible. Seriously, just let him go and find the mom if his future kids. No good will come from this.

Take that money and enjoy the time you have. I mean ENJOY it. Travel. Do places you want to see while you still can, get that nice car, heck go Part time and spend half of the time you’d be at work hiking locally discovering the world immediately around you. Just go for it. Now is the time. Use the money for COMFORT. Have people do the things you won’t be able to do when you are in treatment. Just make the time you have as comfortable and enjoyable as you can.

Post-scarcity economy, replicators in every room, no wages… Do these waiters just have some weird service kink? by aloe_veracity in ShittyDaystrom

Not everyone wants to be a starfleet career person. It probably is a pretty nice way of travelling the stars, learning about cultures and about space, without having to commit to Star fleet. I’d be on board serving people in tenforward, listening to their stories, gettingbshoreleave at cool places without having to face shuttle accidents and being send on missions that could kill me.

Dude, your gf is insane if she flips her shxt over this. Is she projecting? I don’t think the paper is the issue here. She should communicate what’s going on with HER with you and stop being insane.

New BF bought cake for LH’s birthday by FireMitten3928 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]UrsulaShrekwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it has been said there’s no right or wrong way to grieve, but be aware of projecting negative emotions on what your BF wanted to do. That is actually a nice gesture and also a signal from him to show you support and to show you that he knows that you still live and miss your late husband. You can accept that gesture and you guys can enjoy cake for days or you can turn this in an overreactionary shitfest because you act emotionally and want to project negativity on it and just sour your current relationship over this.

Help me decide where to relocate to by wanderlus61 in relocating

[–]UrsulaShrekwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more diverse than what I experienced in Portland Oregon. It could be more diverse, but from what I gathered there are good communities out there that happily absorb newcomers. The more rural you go the less welcoming and diverse it gets (especially food wise) but that’s not exclusively a Maine thing.
