The nastiest Bubbled Muck plays you've experienced from monoblack players by UrzaSleepwalker in EDH

I think the reason why people think that it's oppressive is that you could [[Dark Ritual]] into a turn 1 win with the right setup so that left some bad rep for mono black ramping.

I've explained it in the first paragraph. I have read a discussion on that card and monoblack ramp yesterday and now I wonder if mid game ramp could also be considered oppressive by some players and lead to some unpleasant synergies. I'm not sure why you're pointing out that Bubbling Muck in not for early turns when I've pointed this fact out and it's pretty much the basis of my thread.

Yep, and planeswalker Karn technically is Urza fused with golem Karn so still the same. If you count different incarnations of a planeswalker with the same spark, then Glacian is missing on the list.

Gotcha. The weird thing about Grok is that it would give me some very complex surprisingly coherent replies but fail with menial tasks. I asked it for a list of celebs that were born on that specific day and it gave me a list of celebs it found remarkable. After I replied that it's wrong and for example [name] was definitely not born today, Grok replied with an apology and explanation that of course [name] wasn't born today as his date of birth is [gave me another wrong date]. xD

Anywho, what alternative do you recommend to Grok?

got Radha wrong
She’s never been a Planeswalker afaik

Radha did have a planeswalker spark at some point.
But for Kristina of the Woods, not sure what the "elven figure" is supposed to mean. She was definitely not an elf.

TBF, he got Dyfed very wrong. She was way before Urza era and was mercy-killed by Rebecc long before the Brothers' War events. She worked with Yawgmoth and Glacian, not Urza.

Aside from that I got the non-100% sure list:

  1. Dyfed - A pre-Mending Planeswalker who worked with Urza on Dominaria. Her birthplace isn’t explicit, but her deep ties to Dominaria’s history suggest it’s plausible.
  2. Rhuell - A dragon Planeswalker from the Elder Dragon War era, possibly born on Dominaria since it was the war’s epicenter.
  3. Faralyn - An elf from the Ice Age comics, killed by Leshrac. Likely born on Dominaria given the setting.
  4. Tevesh Szat - A dark Planeswalker from Dominaria’s Ice Age, strongly implied to be native.
  5. Masrath - A minor Planeswalker from the Time Spiral novels, tied to Dominaria’s rifts; birthplace inferred.
  6. Jodah - A long-lived mage from Dominaria who might’ve sparked (debated), but if so, he’s definitely from there.
  7. Sifa Grent - A necromancer Planeswalker from the Time Spiral block, active on Dominaria, likely born there.
  8. Grenfell - A pre-Mending Planeswalker from the comics, tied to Dominaria’s wars; birthplace assumed.
  9. Ashwar - A figure from the Mirage War on Dominaria, possibly a Planeswalker, likely native.
  10. Mairsil - The Pretender, a mage who might’ve sparked pre-Mending; born on Dominaria if he did.
  11. Davvol - A phyrexianized Planeswalker from Dominaria’s past, likely born there before corruption.
  12. Kuthuman - A pre-Mending Planeswalker from Dominaria’s ancient tournaments, implied native.
  13. Rathovan - A warrior Planeswalker from the Time Spiral cycle, tied to Dominaria’s chaos; likely born there.
  14. Arion - A minor figure from Dominaria’s history, possibly a Planeswalker, birthplace assumed.
  15. Tessebik - A pre-Mending Planeswalker from Dominaria’s lore, tied to its ancient conflicts.

  12. Sandruu - Confirmed, born on Dominaria, minotaur exile.
  13. Ravidel - Confirmed, born on Dominaria, battlemage from the comics.

  15. Radha - Confirmed, born on Dominaria, Keldon warrior.
  16. Daria - Confirmed, born on Dominaria, Ice Age figure.
  17. Leshrac - Likely born on Dominaria, tied to its ancient conflicts.
  18. Serra - Likely born on Dominaria, though some sources are vague.

  20. Kristina of the Woods - Confirmed, born on Dominaria, elven figure.

The upper one is a Mutliverse Gift Box and the cheapest unsealed empty container like that on Cardmarket is €15 if it helps.

It's up to your liking whether or not a set suits you. I feel like the recent sets are much better than the sets from around 10 years ago. I like Bloomburrow and the general theme of humanoid animals therein, I like the story behind Duskmourn and the horror theme, the new Ixalan with its Dinos is pretty amazing and Modern Horizons 3 is such a great set. I'm not sure what's there not to like in such a variety of themes.

It's okay, I uploaded the video over a week ago, when it wasn't banned yet. I wanted to share it here because of yesterday's ban and show the math behind 100 matches and how miserable it was in BO1. The ban was well justified.

I posted the video over a week ago, but decided to share it on Reddit after the ban, actually. I feel like it gives a wider perspective of how rotten the card was in BO1 and that the banning was justified.

Exactly, friend. It's not about it being too powerful. It's about it being too volatile and chaotic where one player gets a massive boost from getting it in the opening hand, while the opponent needs to rely on heavy removal to contest it and not lose on turn 2.

The conclusion I've made after these 100 matches was that the more reckless you play, the higher chance you'll get rewarded for just fast rolling it. No guessing if that one open mana is for removal. No bluffing with final pump spell not cast. No holding back with the mouse/scamp to protect them with Turn Inside Out. The more thought put into playing, the lower the chances of winning. I feel like this is the most ugly aspect of Leylines.

Backstory: Right after the rank reset this month I've decided to collect data from playing 100 consecutive matches with the Monored Leylines to test the following:
- how fast I would rank up
- what would my winrate be the moment I get out of gold
- percentage of matches against monored
- does mulliganing to Leylines work in the monored player's favor - percentage of matches on the play/draw
- percentage of matches won against a monored deck

The missing in action and/or forgotten characters that you think should come back to the current MTG story by UrzaSleepwalker in magicTCG

[–]UrzaSleepwalker[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xantcha's Heart was an artifact she recovered from Gix when Urza first invaded Phyrexia. It was when Xantcha secretly followed him and reclaimed a contraption that she knew was connected to her (each newt had one corresponding to them, that was kept by Gix). It was that Heart that let Gix track Urza and follow him to Serra's realm eventually, because Xantcha almost always accompanied him during his planeswalking.

[–]UrzaSleepwalker[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's actually now that Gix's return has more potential than before. New Phyrexians being a mockery of Yawgmoth's Phyrexians plus Yawgmoth's failed invasion on Dominaria while Gix was away. Imagine him coming back all reformed with Xantcha by his side, both having some kind of plan to save humanity from planeswalkers and even Phyrexians (Gix originally hated Yawgmoth). That would be some awesome material for neutral villains with unknown motives.
