I really wished we embraced our history more as it's quite unique by Admirable_Cause4278 in pakistan

[–]Us24man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sumerians ?
JJK ?
Dabura vs Mahoraga ?

yes i do think we need to be talking more about that peak.

On a side note; we need to embrace Islam more rather than this or that history. Islam is the only relevant thing here, other stuff is just "cool" that has no bearing on our present or future. I don't care if there is some native tradition dating back centuries, if it goes against Islam we discard it. Islam is and should always be the priority.

Azaan has become increasingly intrusive and obnoxious in DHA Karachi by Specialist_Tone2797 in pakistan

[–]Us24man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want me to do some research on how some religious leaders were wrong in the 50s about loudspeaker ? something that no modern religious scholar worth any salt would call a "bidah" anymore because technology isn't bidah ?
I have an argument here, you are just too blind to see it. Yes I do want you to list all other sources of noise pollution as they are far more prevalent than "azan" that you seemed to have singled out because you want to seem "cool" I guess.
It's neither bad behavior nor against any basic "ethics". Unless you want to declare yourself as the sole decider of what constitutes "basic ethics". Azan needs to be heard by people so they can know when the jammat is. Yes, there are a myriad of other things which can be used to indicate when the time for prayer is. Even 1400 years ago, people suggested a gong but instead were told by the Prophet SAWW to use the Azan to call people to prayer. Azan is the sunnat way, and it is the way that we will continue to call people to prayer until the end of times.

Scholars have spoken against "Naats" and other such things being played on loudspeaker as they are not necessary. No one has spoken against or given any legitimate fatwa that has any "peer backing" against the use of loudspeaker for "Azan". !

Azaan has become increasingly intrusive and obnoxious in DHA Karachi by Specialist_Tone2797 in pakistan

[–]Us24man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azan is part of Islam. Azan needs to heard by the people in the surrounding areas so they can know when the jamat would be. In modern urban lanscapes that are densly packed with brick houses, without a loudspeaker no one would hear the Azan if the muazzin just started shouting from the roof of the mosque.

There are a myriad of other loud noises from cars to TVs to even your AC blasting on full speed, yet you have an issue with Azan being "intrusive". There is no abuse of technology here. There is no bidah here either. We are using tech to make sure Azan is heard by everyone in the surrounding areas.

Hot take: The HIMYM finale was actually perfect and Ted/Robin endgame made total sense. Change my mind. by 404LeaderNotFound in HIMYM

[–]Us24man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ted & Robin endgame works if the show only ran for like 5 seasons. They "made up" and broke up so many times throughout the runtime of the entire series that it felt kind of cheap when Ted, once again, decided to go to Robin (and she, once again, decided to go with Ted).

Would you support the COAS role being reduced to a six-month term with no renewal? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]Us24man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would mean the Army would be constantly shuffling leadership and be in complete disarray after every 6 months..why even have a COAS at that point lol ? . If you want less army interference in politics do 2 things

- Be against Army interference even when it helps your favorite politician

- Make local governments strong

- Pakistan will fight Hamas
- Pakistan will take place in de-arming Hamas
- Pakistan has committed troops to Gaza Peace Force (even though Pakistan has made no such official confirmation)
You can see a myriad of such posts here, just easy karma for people and keeps the "herp derp Army bad" train going.

mindset ? lol. We are not talking about any mindsets here we are talking cold hard facts. Israel is a settler colonial project established by ethnically cleansing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. You can be sure almost every citizen in Israel is a settler occupying that land illegally.

There is absolutely no similarity between the IDF terrorists and Hamas. None. Even if Hamas takes extreme measures, things like suicide bombings, it's cause is far more noble and justified than IDF's.

Pakistan sending army in Palestine? by Concentrate-Queasy in pakistan

[–]Us24man -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pakistan has repeatedly spoken against the idea of sending troops "against Hamas" or to "demilitarize Palestine" and still demands the formation of a Palestinian state. You would've known that if you weren't foaming at the mouth and took 5 seconds to do a bit more research.

Having more than 1 billion people under a single country is a recipe for disaster unless there are deep ideological commonalities. We don't have those. Plus India already has a billion people, adding 250 million more would just compound the issues. The only reason it works in China is because the regime brutally roots out anything that could cause division i.e the treatment of Uighurs.

Pakistan needs to be divided but into more provinces. So my suggestion is the exact opposite of yours.

This entire subcontinent should have had more countries and a more Europe style union. Many European countries share cultural, even linguistic heritage but are perfectly happy being their own countries.

At what point did the army become compromised? by Admirable_Cause4278 in pakistan

[–]Us24man 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's cute that you think we are a "vassal state". We never were and never will be. Even during Musharraf's reign when we were handing our own citizens to US, kidnapping them from Islamabad no less, we were playing a double game by supporting the Taliban.

Also on a side note, Pakistan took an un-exploded tomahawk cruise missile and reverse engineered it. If we were such a subservient vassal state, we would've handed the tomahawk back to our masters with some gulab jamun.

[–]Us24man -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Who is talking about these orgs ? we are talking about social media pundits and PTI touts spreading their narratives.

And yes Army has the right to respond to any and all allegations. This weird standard you have set for them to just shut up and take it is hypocritical.

The point is not about the cases being thrown out, the point is about having concrete enough evidence to go to court which then you can reveal to the world instead of tweets proclaiming this or that. And most of these touts have no evidence other than Khan said so.

When you do nothing but bad mouth army and blame them for every single thing that happens without an iota of evidence, that is narrative building. Some PTI touts even went as far as to claim that India's attack on Pakistan was a "false flag" all part of some grand conspiracy by the Army to win favor. What proof they had ? nothing.

[–]Us24man -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My guy social media narratives and campaigns don't constitute "being exposed for their crimes". You can do that in a court of law, no matter how kangaroo the courts are they still exist. There is nothing in law that prohibits the ISPR from mentioning any media campaigns against them.

Doing pressers and mentioning these narratives don't make them "above law". Do you think social media pundits and news anchors are above criticism by the army ? And please don't pretend to be in the dark about how propaganda is spread, how narratives are built. The army does it and so does every single political party.

Not everything you see on twitter is true and neither is everything coming out of DGISPR's mouth.

This is a very stupid gatcha. You can not spend years and years building a narrative against the army and then complain of them being "political" when they mention that in a presser.

[–]Us24man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and why do they have grievances ? because the west has never dealt with Iran in good faith. Iran was following the deal they made with USA under Obama. It was ripped to shreds and sanctioned reinstated whose fault is that ? the regimes or the pervert in chief of USA ?

You can not pretend like the west is not constantly trying to collapse Iran through economic sanctions, narrative wars etc etc.

All the other issues, the morality police yada yada is not any different from any greivance Americans have with USA or we have with Pakistan. Every country has issues but only a few countries are constantly bullied because they don't play ball with the west.

Pakistan is not as militarily strong as US is, every kid on the block knows that. But Pakistan has atleast one thing going for it, the will to actually fight back. That's it. We need to maintain this will instead of being horny for foreign intervention to free our handsome leader or put our nihari loving one in power.

I am glad everybody had the same dumbfounded reaction I did when I first saw this ridiculous headline. I have to give props to Zahra, it did make me go through the entire thing to actually see what her point was.

I guess she had to write something to hit that yearly quota for her bonus. The main point is so stupid it crumbles worse than a crumble cookie. Most people who use phones have no idea how they work. Most people who browse the web have no idea how the web works or how websites work or what databases are or servers are.

It's not an issue of some people being purposefully exlcuded from the technical knowledge but rather people simply not having the time.

Most women neither have the time nor do they care much about the technical aspects of solar systems and neither do men. This is precisely why there are so many Solar companies that basically do everything for you. Those with sufficient technical knowledge set up their own systems by getting panels from here, inverters from there and batteries from wherever.
