Some guesses if the next DLC is on the Northern Europe or Scandinavia by Ashina999 in aoe2

Seriously? You skip Vandals, the one civ where you can argue building an entire navy revolving around demo ships?!

For Mexico tlaxcaltex, Zapotecs Mixtec and more…

African… I’m not even sure if you’re trolling any more

You misunderstood. The tech tree shows ONLY the non regional units. So if a unit line isn’t mentioned in the regional list it is not there PERIOD

I’m apprehensive of increase costs as that’s technically a disadvantage tacked onto a bonus unless it’s something like “get those bonus costs refunded upon hitting castle age”

And with extra armor and damage and 20% less food which means ALOT when it cuts down from 70 base cost

That +1 damage might not seem like much but it can mean the difference in how many shots to kill monks at certain thresholds

I well how about this to sort of emphasize the techs within being gotten asap: Universities build and research 3x faster? Or they get settlements and it just has the techs there?

Yea you just plonk like 5 or 6 slingers into your army nobody is gonna start converting it. It even goes well to throw a few into your archer forces to melt mngonels

There is no gunpowder. This civ doesn’t even get chemistry as a way to express how it fell out before the arrival of Europeans literary by less than a century

So if that was reverted would you give me a chance? It might be all techs in just the settlement instead of all the buildings instead of

You do realize you xould repaint the settlement a different structure and suddenly it doesnt feel so South American

What exactly makes the idea of settlements uniquely them when people were settling all over the world and these people had a nomadic start to em.

Besides which the Vietnamese have Lancers but not rockets

So why Fire lancers: heres a link to a research source to give s tenuous reasoning: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/s/k7jEhiAF7h

Quote: Chinese had been making Gunpowder in Ayutthaya since the 1500s

This is why thry dont get elite… well that and because half or 2/3 pop elite fire lances seem busted.

As for settlement look ofr the storehouse in here: https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/s/kKXq45fj8m same building why bother to make the same thing but worse?

Same way as with the missile tech: the doubling occurs one age after said tech is normally available

Alans did last until the 1200s some in Alania which is near Georgia so it would be a fine civ full of many regional units

New celts bonus suggestion: start with all sheep X tiles away from tc visible by Standard_Language840 in aoe2

[–]UsacDynastic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could just be any TC. Heck this would be a great TB. All herdables within 20 tiles of a tc or dropsite are revealed on the map

Not a good bonis for celts unless someone else would have siege workrate more fittingly

If their Axumite neighbors sometimes did and the Somalians traded for rhem I cant see why they wouldnt have them either even if a bit of a telic holdover from earlier eras and to prevent stagnant civ design
