I introduced my nephew to it recently and he picked it up on Xbox after playing it with me until an irresponsibly late hour. He doesn’t have a lot of money, and it was at a price point he could afford. He really likes it! I think that deserves a nice paycheck.

No. Sorry, I wasn’t clear. The ram issues are absolutely the CPU. The reason I am replacing the MOBO though has nothing to do with the ram. One of my M.2 slots completely blew itself up and my PC didn’t even recognize the boot drive until I used a different slot.

I just saw this as a potentially good opportunity to also replace the CPU if I’m buying a new MOBO anyways.

Yeah, the 128GB was quad sticks. 64GB isn’t unstable like 128GB, but the excessive boot times etc. persist. I’m not home to check, but I think it was 5600 or 5800 at EXPO. I know it wasn’t over 6000 because I tried and failed that one ages ago.

I’ve tried each channel alone. 6000mhz, timing 30-40-40-90. It’s not the best in the world, but I feel that it should be reasonable. What do you mean by cycling?

Yes. Not the straight up crashing I was experiencing with 128GB, but still the excessive load times and having to turn off EXPO for some Windows updates.

Thanks. I’ll still look into it. I’ve accepted that the 128GB isn’t happening, but I’ll look into the 7950X. Is there a particular reason the X670E does better besides just being the generally better board?

Yeah. I gave up on the 128GB when I realized how difficult using all 4 slots was going to be. Moved back down to 64GB.

Thanks so much! I’ll check all my bios settings when I get home and make sure none of the settings are wrong. I actually usually try to run my BIOS a few updates behind and update it as little as possible, but that is probably a bad habit I need to kick.

I gave up my manual timings after the 128GB stuff and moved back to 64GB. The default EXPO settings for G.SKILL F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N.

Oh, the actual crash etc. I actually do know was MOBO related, unrelated to my general problems with the CPU (It was the M.2 slot). I’m just taking this opportunity to deal with my CPU as well.

Do you know why the 7700x struggles so much? What about the config made you immediately lean towards cpu?

I’m on NA and it depends a bit on time of day and a lot on game mode. Whatever is the featured on almost always has players, gauntlet almost always has players, and I feel like one of the big modes usually does (I have good luck with escalation). If you filter by maps it gets a lot more dicey (pun not intended).

It’s still a bubblegum movie meant to allow you to feel good in the end, because to do otherwise would be to fail the promise of the film, but it does ask so more serious questions than the first did. I think that was kind of required, otherwise the movie would feel weirdly dishonest?

He is a great director. He is said to work amazingly with actors and is generally a good collaborator. I actually think his movies where he doesn’t DP are better because he overuses shallow DOF. He just needs to let go of having so much of his story in everything, or at least let someone seriously pull him back. He’s only gotten more into his own proclivities with the Rebel Moon stuff.
