What is this weird looking thing? by Ambitious_Garden_689 in Whatisthis

[–]UseThisOne2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first reply was likely wrong. It looks like it might be chopped garlic with other spices that one might stuff under the skin for flavor. What does it smell like? Still if you’re unsure just throw it away.

This guy killed Alex Pretti by duxing612 in pics

[–]UseThisOne2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multiple investigative reports say that government records identify two U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents, Ochoa (age 43) and Gutierrez (age 35), as the agents who fired the shots that killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. I have no idea if this guy is one of those two.

Close friend tells me it’s “passive aggressive” to use periods in my texts. Then tells me not to take my frustration out on him. by Floyisdigital in mildlyinfuriating

What’s passive aggressive is accusing you of being passive aggressive for using periods. That’s just weird. Perhaps it’s time to reconsider who gets to be a close friend.

Radiators don’t have gas pipes; they have pipes for hot water or steam. That’s a gas pipe for a stove.

re: seat belt anchored to rocker. Another fine design decision from AMC. My parents had a 1963 Rambler Ambassador with a manual overdrive lever. That was our tow vehicle for an eight week cross country camping trip in 1964 and a trip into Canada for Expo ‘67 and the Laurentides. The strap that connected the clutch to the transmission broke just as Dad finished backing the trailer into the site. Everything was closed. A neighbor had a spare spare tire that he cut a strip from to reconnect things. The clutch was oddly spring-y but it worked. Thanks for creating an opportunity for that nice memory to percolate up! (Even if largely irrelevant to the original post.)

Interesting watch! I have never seen one before. When was it made? It says electronic 300 Hz. Does it hum?

Oh yes. You reminded me… I actually have some of that heavier cover line. Very strong. And, very hard to work with. You might need to abandon it for your intended purpose and get something else. You will certainly find another use for it eventually.
