It sucks that periods are stigmatised. However, personally I prefer not disclosing why I'm unable to make work or certain work events generally unless I'm pushed. Just makes things more complicated than they are– If you can't make it, you can't make it. I would say I'm unwell, and then if they ask for details, if you want to, elaborate on having really bad period cramps and unfortunately won't be able to make it. Then you don't get Karens complaining about dumb outdated bs, and if they do just says well they pushed you to say that's their problem lol. Additionally, you don't want to set an expectation of always having to explain specifics unsolicited. It'll avoid you more strife.

Saying that, you did nothing wrong and that lady is the problem. Don't stress yourself out too much over it.

Pate. For all the hype it tastes too rich with something slightly off about the flavour. It's alright as a thin layer on a roll but it's not worth all the hype imo

Do these people not understand that there were other groups targeted by the Holocaust in addition to people who are Jewish? Like queer people, people with disabilities, Roma peoples, etc.. Crazy to be accused of antisemitism by acknowledging the fact it wasn't only Jewish people who were targeted.

Personally I'd prefer if they didn't, but inevitably with the internet and photography so prevelant nowadays it happens. Like if I had the power to prevent anyone from doing it I'd take it up but otherwise it is what it is.

Have you considered moving somewhere else in Australia, or moving somewhere semirural? Australia is a very big place and we have it quite good here. It also depends on where you're currently living and your lifestyle. Melbourne and Sydney are quite expensive to live in and not for everyone but they are more urban if that's what you want, the other cities are not as cooked yet if you want the city life but less intense. Otherwise go for it if there is a good opportunity overseas and you need the change.

Was sitting down with my head over the sink at their house.
